I had a baity Princess Tiffany so I decided to test out the RIT dye on her. It worked out pretty well. I used the rose petal pink color and this is how she turned out. Then I removed some of her hair plugs and rehaired them with white glow-in-the-dark dolly hair, and I added a bunch to her tail too. The hotpink hair with tinsel is her original hair but it was dyed in the RIT dye. I need to figure out a way to re-apply some metalic to her symbol, any ideas? I'm giving her to my daughter on her birthday on June 18th and I'd like her to be in "like new" condition. Meaning her symbol needs some work since the silver has worn off and the shine on the stones has worn off too.

Ideas?

Great job. I love the colors. As for the metalic the only thing that I can suggest is painting over it with metalic paint.

Oooh she is lovely! I personally wouldn't recommend nail polish as it can ruin ponies. You could try a metallic paint for sure; you can get a silver coloured acrylic and maybe water it down for the gems, though the more water you add, the more chipping is possible, but that might not be a problem if you seal with mod podge.

don't do nail polish... I wonder if you could apply some silver leaf?

wow she is absolutely stunning. personally i like the worn silverness on her, but if yu want to fix it then use silver paint. i have applebarrel silver and it's very good and durable in my experiance.
