Welcome to America's Next Top Pony Photo Contest! We are so excited all you beautiful Ponies have come to model for us! So here is the scoop:

-You can start modeling at any time in this competition, there will be six different contests and the competition will last for six weeks! If you only compete in one or two of the contests that is ok!

-At the end of six weeks all members are encouraged to vote on the pictures submitted. In the end there will be one winner and they will be America's next Top Pony! Remember the more competitions you compete in the more members will see your talent so it is best to start at week one and go till the end.


-Each competition will consist of one picture that you will take of your model for the weeks theme. Each new competition will start on Sunday and end Saturday night at midnight. Once a competition is over you cannot submit a picture for it, however you can join in at any time and submit a picture for the current week's contest.

-This is a photo contest only, sorry no artwork-I wanted to make it as close to a model shoot as possible. Dress your pony up, make props, use extras, snap shots until your model gets just the right pose and submit it to the judges!

-There will only be one judging that will take place at the end of the competition. Each contestant will be judged on the entirety of their work they submitted. As I said before it is best to do all six weeks but whatever you submit in the six week period will be judged in the end. The only advantage in having more pictures is that the judges will see how versatile your talent is.

The prizes: I wish I had something more exciting to offer but my collection of extras is a bit limited. There is a choice, the winner may choose from 1 G1 Cuddles, 2 G2 ponies or 3 G3's. These gals are in fair to really good condition, if you have any questions about them please ask (PM me for a more immediate response).

I am really excited to see your entries! This is my first contest, I have seen one done before and in the end all entries were consolidated and judged by the members. When we get closer to that point I would love it if someone would tell me how to do that since I'm still shinny green with newbie-ness :D

Week one

The theme for week one is: The Seven Deadly Sins. Please choose one from the following: wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony.

Week one starts today and ends this Saturday July 23rd at midnight.

Happy modeling and can't wait to see what you come up with!!
 
This sounds so fun! I will have to get thinking! I do have a question, though -- should we only have one "model" for the entire competition, or can we change each week?
 
You can have one model or change them up, and you can also use extras-don't forget those sexy Big Brother Ponies that will spice up any shoot :D

And I am assuming since the pic above has it we can photo shop in phrases and things but not alter the ponies right ? what are the specifications on photoshop program use ?

Yes any generation is fine :) You can use photo shop too, my thought behind the contest is a photo model shoot. Adding words, airbrushing your model etc, all of that is fine-the only thing I wanted to avoid were drawings of ponies. So please do, use photo shop, use those pony extras and have some fun with your models :D

And by the way Papillons that is a great pic! I love her smug little look! Very prideful :D

Week 2: Majestic Merpony

For our second week the theme is: Majestic Merponies! Get your pony wet, add some shells and seaweed to your shoot.
