Anyone else feel this way?

To me, there's not as much 'fun' in buying a single-pony lot for a mint pony. I was always partial to finding them places, like flea markets, or getting them in big lots from people who don't know much about ponies. Then it's just as rewarding to see that in the dingy box, one's NM- or one that needs help. Either way, it's a great fun. :)

I havent even restored any ponies yet. I looooove getting minty ones though, they make me happy.

I can't say I am disappointed when I get a mint pony, but I LOVE restoring ponies much more..if they're worth it in the end.

I guess saying I am disappointed when I get a minty pony is inaccurate to a certain extent. When I am buying a single pony, I know what her condition is, there would be no disappointment there (unless she wasn't as described). I guess what I mean is that I much prefer to buy those grimy lots off of eBay and hope I can make them beautiful again than to go after a single minty pony. It saves money that way too! I am so glad to see others feel the same about "disadvantaged" ponies. I totally agree on the whole preloved feeling. I know how loved mine were and how bad most of them look today because of it, but oh the great times we had together!

Me too, I LOVE doing pony baths!! Everyone goes thru the sink--gets shampooed, gets conditioned, gets toothpaste scrubbed all over them. Then brushing out hair, trimming the long stray ends, curling the hair around her foot--in the morning is the prettiest looking girl sitting there on the counter--ooooh, I love cleaning up ponies!! I get disappointed when there's something that I CANT fix--permanent stain, smooze, chopped hair--but she still comes out looking better than when she went in!! *grin*
