When I was a child I had a collection of 32, and I only saved two of them. Now I have a collection of over 250 and I've only managed to recollect 15 of the "original" 32!!!! :shock: :shock: :shock:

Well, I don't collect G1s, but I did manage to hold on to my very first Cotton Candy and my very first Baby Surprise all these years. I even still have Baby Surprise's sticker, her bib, and her bottle. :) Some of the special ones, you just can't ever part with.

I say keep at it. If you want all 32, you will eventually get them all. :D
 
Yeah. I used to have maybe 20-30 ponies form when my sister was little. Over the years my Pretty Parler and most of my ponies got thrown out, leaving me with the Dream Castle and 5 ponies left. i'm doing my best to retrive the ones i lost.
 
Yup. I had a bunch missing from my original herd, it took a LONG time to get those back. I'm still missing a lot of playset accessories..
 
I actually can't even remember who I had!! The only three I know for sure are Baby Pictures, as I bought her with my pocket money whilst on holiday, Sweet Stuff, Wind Whistler, (all of which I still have) and both Sky Rocket and DnP Player, as I won both of those through the MLP comic. Sweet!
 
I have all 26 of my originals, except for two, which was Masquerade (Tossed out.), and Baby WhirlTwirl (Stolen by my cousin.). They're all manky and kept as is in a bag. I replaced most of them with NM to Excellent ones, as well as some accessories.

Now I want to find all the accessories for them. The hardest one to find accessories for me is for Princess Pristina. :cry:

I only had three ponies as a child. Heart Throb was given away and Bouncy and Zig Zag were sold at a garage sale. The friend that I gave Heart Throb to kept her all these years and gave her back to me not too long ago, but with a collection of around 300 ponies (I'm just guessing, I haven't counted in a donkey's age!) I still haven't replaced Bouncy or Zig Zag!

What is wrong with me?! :shock:
 
I still have all my original ponies! However some I've upgraded but I've kept my favorites (like Windy of course :lol: ) I wouldn't sell them no matter their condition. I was lucky that they were stored in the basement after I moved out and left alone for me to find years later. :D
 
I don't remember ALL the ones I had as a kid, but I know there are 3 I'm missing...the purple with pink hair Secret Surprise pony, Lemon Treats, and the yellow peg Rainbow Curl pony. And I could swear I had all of the Rock N beat ponies but can only find 2. I think I had about 30-50 as a kid. As far as I KNOW...I've got all my original herd except the above mentioned. I'm going crazy trying to find my Lemon treats though! :nodno:
 
I kept all my childhood ponies. My sister even gave me hers. Some I have passed on to my daughter because they were "well loved". I would have freaked if anyone ever threw them out!!!!
 
I kept all of my childhood ponies up until last year, when I sold and traded off a few that I just didn't have any emotional attachment to anymore. I upgraded my miserable Peach Blossom and Baby Celebrate, and now all I have to do is upgrade my MM Floater :D

It's a different story for my Petites. I had ALL of the Petites except the original two sets and the playset ones (besides the castle pair, which I did have), and I haven't seen them since I was nine years old. There's no way we could've gotten rid of them except on accident, as they were stored in an empty checkbook box. I'd love to collect all of them but it's kind of tedious!
 
I have my compleat original herd too. I few of the ponies were traded then upgraded but i have all of them (except for a double Heart Trob)
 
I managed to find all my girls..and guy except Wigwam's bandana...which I KNOW is now in hungary (don't ask ><) and I may get back someday, and my lullaby nursery walked off in a move too.

My starshine is utterly MANKY but after years in a tight plastic bag with my near-mint to good ponies, she didn't give any of them ponycancer...not complaining :p but she's my 20p carboot pony who I kept for ages
