G4 Are there any hats for Applejack (G4 Crystal motion Wave 2)?

Hello everyone!

We just got our hands on the Applejack we were after (mint new!), but were disappointed that there doesn't seem to be a hat included in the set! Come on, you can't design an Applejack without the cowboy hat

Now we are after any hints on where we could obtain a G4 compatible hat for her. Are there any other options than browsing Etsy and hoping for the best?

98% of all AJ releases didn’t come with a hat.

You’d have to get the earlier release playset (Sweet Apple Barn) or single (Crystal Empire) of her to get a hat for her.

Optionally the G4 reboot series had a few AJ releases with hats (in brown) that sort of fit the G4 brushables. (School of Friendship Show and Tell & Pirate Ponies)

As well as the Guardians of Harmony G4 AJ’s have hats that kinda fit G4 AJ. (Main Series & Pirate Series)

I can take pics of these for examples later if you need them.

Like @Skybreeze said 98% of Applejacks were not sold with hats, which is just about the worst thing ever! The first Applejack pony released with a hat was the very short first run of the Fashion Style size. Which were so difficult to get. And the hat was pink. Not brown.

Sweet Apple Barn is the first release of Applejack in the standard size that came with a hat. And to add insult to injury the hat was blue, not brown.

Even Applejack’s farm truck set did not come what a hat!

The next set that came with a hat was the Crystal Empire Single and the hat was green!! I kept wondering if we had to cycle through the whole rainbow to get to brown…

The first brown hat was released in 2014 a brown for Applejack. The catch? It was for the Rainbow Power fashion style version. So it’s far too larger for the SRW Ed’s G4 size. We’re getting closer but still not quite there yet…

2016 The Hat wars continue this time we’re graced with The Elements of Friendship -Doll and Pony Set. This would be perfect right?! Human and pony Applejack together in a set and two hats right!?

NOPE.

One hat for two figures and sadly due to the hat sized being only for Human Applejack her pony counter part was left hatless. The only kudos we can give here is that the hat was brown at least…

Then we jump over to 2017 for the My Little Pony the Movie - Fashion Styles where once again we are faced with another blue hat. At least blue and brown both start with “b”?

Finally in 2018 a brown hat was released for Applejack! It was in the School of Friendship Show and Tell release.

That’s right it only took Hasbro 8 years! It’s almost as if some crazy Applejack Aficionado contacted Hasbro for eight years to get it right…

The only downside to what would be the perfect Applejack hat is that because of the G4.5 redesign the head of this version of Applejack became wider.

This hat can work on the original G4 sized ones, it is just a tinnnnyyyyy bit longer and Applejack’s ears don’t quite stick out as far as they should to be absolutely show accurate. (Just my two bits there.)

It is the most show accurate hat style for Applejack. It’s brown, has the right shape and stays one well due to the ear holes.

I have probably gone off on enough Applejack hat history for now. And here is what that hat looks like on that particular pony:

Yeah I’ve noticed the annoying lack of applejack hats too, why would they do that?
I saw a super cute Ty applejack plush while thrifting but didn’t end up getting her cause no hat

Most likely due to costs and the idea that Applejack was pushed to be a background character. Thankfully many of the fans spoke up about that.

I am the only one whose more bother by AJ fluttershy like eyes, it kinda takes away all Applejack's personality, all I can imagine when I look at her is a fluttershy whose talent is farming

This hat looks like something that absolutely should have been included in the G4 crystal motion wave 2 box... Thank you!

I agree with the eyes, I think the same applies a little also to the Rainbow Dash model from the same series - these two ponies lack their characteristic eyes from the cartoon. But OTOH my daughter does not mind about the eyes, she focuses a LOT on their hair. She was a bit upset that Rainbow Dash did not have similar gradient in her hair and tail as in the cartoon (the wave 2 rainbow has only blue and purple in her tail, not a full spectrum).

I tried eBay and Amazon but to no avail so I posted a wanted message on this forum in case someone wanted to part with one (https://www.mlptp.net/index.php?thr...friendship-show-and-tell-g4-brushable.118829/).

I was wondering, since these ponies are often customized, are you aware of any shops that would sell something like this hat (or any other accessories/clothes) for the G4 ponies? I have been looking through Etsy but have not found anything so far.
