Are you participating in the eBay strike?

Yes, I'm participating.... sort of. :p This lady messaged me asking me to relist some disney play dishes as a BIN for her, so I did, on Saturday night. THEN SHE DIDN'T BUY THEM!!!!! *fumes* So, I'm participating in about 20 minutes when the listing finally ends.
 
OH MY god!!!! It was down only 4% when I checked last night. Holy COW!
 
I know, its bad...how can you effect change when everyone is *oh, but I need the money!*.
I give up, I just won't be selling on ebay.
 
I agree, Ebay lost one week worth of sales, it wasn't a big deal to them. In order for a strike to work people need to stop selling and buying period until they decide to go back and look again at the changes.

I wont be selling on their site anymore, I will use other means. But I will still probably buy stuff, but only if it is a steal of a price or something in paticular I am looking for.

the only success of this strike, is if every person involved is happy with where they are and what they are doing.

ebay is not going to change.

sellers will sell, buyers will buy...

all you have is yourself and what you want out of your selling experience.

I was. Then I read the news and did a little research. I can't wait until google starts up their auction site. Right now there is a lot of people wanting an alternative but need a solid competitor. Til then I won't sell...but may buy since some stuff is too tempting.
 
I have an ebay store, so don't have much of a choice but to sell. I mainly use it for advertising though and give bonuses to customers who purchase the same or similar goods outside of ebay (4 possibly 5 in the last few weeks! Yay!) My webmaster is going to put a shopping cart on my website and eventually everything will be moved from ebay to my site. Ebay has gone rotten, and when you add in the fees for paypal (fine by themselves) it really sucks. As a seller I get hit 3 times if someone buys from my store then pays via paypal. Ebay is raking it in, I don't see why they needed the fee hike...

That sounds interesting, Google's auction site. Do you have any info? I've never seen anything about it before! I wanted to start selling but then with all those fees, I probably won't make $$. I was going to help my mom and sell some stuff for her too... SO I'm going to wait for a good competitor.
