As a owner of some of Kala's customs, I can confirm she does really fine detail work with the painting! She uses india ink which makes the paint work real smooth, and I believe she either paints over the original eyes or removes them entirely with Acetone or Goo gone.

This woman has some real patient steady hands. x____x
