Oh Em Gee! This is the best of the best of the best day EVER! Look who I just was able to add into my collection (and the price was out of this world cheap... I even told them what she was worth!)

Found it in my neighbors house as she is getting ready to move and she didn't care at all and sold it to me.

THIS IS FREAKING AMAZING!!!

Hoof! Holy my goodness! My dear, that is wicked awesome! Look at that fancy fem, gorgeous everything!
 
It's kinda funny, I had been telling my parents (we were neighbors with this girl, she's a year younger than I am, so we grew up together) that she had Rapunzel, over and over again, and no one believed me... finally all her ponies showed up as they were cleaning up the house. I couldn't even believe that my DAD was the one that pushed for the whole deal to happen - I had told him what it's worth, and he told her, and then made her an offer... she was happy to take it. (I'm really hoping it'll help them cover some of their travel expenses for their move!)

It's basically... one of those unbelievable things that happened. I actually don't enjoy "bragging" about my collection... I really enjoy envying others collections!! Haha! The reason I posted her up here is because I'm more proud of the fact that I REMEMBERED that she had her all these years! I'm 27 years old, lol so we haven't played with them for... oh man... well, since the early 90s... and I remembered her all these years. I'm happy to have her in a good home where she will be cherished, instead of tucked away forgotten in an attic somewhere...

(Now just think, I bet one of you will find her at a Goodwill or Thrift Store! :D)
 
Wow! That's great! And the fact that you have childhood memories attached to her makes her all that more special. I'm so happy for you. :)

Send me some of that luck please! My boyfriend promises he'll look for ponies if he ends up in the States for training, finding her would be amazing of course.

I think you hit the nail on the head Josiekat, with the whole "she's got sentimental value from my childhood" type thing - I think that's what makes her so valuable to me personally. It's wonderful to have ponies that you KNOW you played with as a child. My entire collection started out with just ONE pony I had from my own childhood (DJ).


But I will pass on GOOD LUCK to everyone to find wonderful gems of My Little Ponies in unexpected places!! :D Can't wait to read about all your guyses brags about great finds! :)

Thanks everyone :) I really love the way talking to people on here can put it into perspective about WHY it's so awesome to collect ponies, (nostalgic value, etc)... It's absolutely wonderful to be a part of this community. Now post all your brags so I can OOOH and AAHHH over them!! :D

I feel like it's a giant lottery wheel - one day we'll all land on the winner and get a dream pony for super cheap! :) Just keep your hopes up and spin that wheel! :D
 
Sorry, I think I left out one of the major issues with Rapunzel...

I won't actually PHYSICALLY have her in my hands until Thanksgiving!!

(I'm dying a little inside... *grabby hands*)
