Blind Bag Custom Swap - SHIPPING DEADLINE SATURDAY!

We live in a community called The Meadows where most people have kids. We are the only couple on our block that is childless. There is also an LDS church right down the street from us so there are many families that have 3-5 kids.
 
My doorbell rang once and I ignored it. I was already in bed eating popcorn and waiting for American Horror Story to come on!

I am done with Phase 1. Phase 2 may involve glitter, I don't know. I get to use my new TIIIIIIINY brushes! SCORE!
 
I'm happy to be moving to the painting phase. The sculpting phase was awful but I really don't remember much of it. I kind of blocked it all out but when it was over I was happy with the result.
 
I still have no power at my house because of the hurricane so 2 might be my limit for the swap. I am at my parent's house right now, I will have to grab the 2 I finished and bring them here to take pics for check-in if I don't get power back at home soon. I was told it might take well into next week.:doh5B15D:

Hope everything is going okay for you and your family! That storm was terrifying and I just can't even imagine the damage (I'm sure the pics I'm seeing don't do it justice) and all the time it's going to take to get things back to normal.


As for my swap status- just about done! All you people talking about sculpting have me amazed! I'm having trouble painting that small! Where is your talent coming from? I must go drink from that river or rub that statue or whatever it is you are doing!

Oh oh! How about Jem and the Holograms instead of Cops. It hasn't really improved my customizing ability but I did have the urge to go shopping today (since Jem has such fab clothes) and I kid you not, they had NEON acid wash skinny jeans in like 8 colors at JCPenney's and these over sized sweaters next to...get this... high top sneakers! OMG! I about died from 80's overload. All the mannequin needed was a side ponytail and a scrunchie.
I do totally dig Jem's clothes, though.

I'd go so far as to say that said side ponytail needs to be crimped and peroxide bleached. ^.^

Almost through with #1... waiting on the last little bit of apoxie to dry, a couple more coats of paint and some sealant and she'll be good to go. Started initial sculpting on my second one... It's HARD to make a tiny tiny horn on a tiny tiny pony... :/

On topic of customs: I'm done! Will take pics this weekend and package them up. On to the winter swap!
 
Sent in my check in as I'll be working all day/night tomorrow >_< I've got one mostly done, just a few touch ups. I need to figure out what I'm gonna do with #2's hair... and finish my 'experiment'.
