Hi every pony! ^-^

So, I was wondering... does anyone have a hubby that doesn't mind you having a towering corner of ponies or unicrons taking over your universe? Or when your lounging around you go to watch Friendship Is Magic and your hub decides to watch it with you and then suddenly it grows on him and then puts it on randomly when your out of the room? xD I know my hubs would kill me if he found out I posted this but I just think its so cute and awesome! I guess you can say that he is somewhat of a Bronie. :p Does anyone have a similar story or is anyone paired with a bronie too? It would be nice to hear some stories! And besides, you know you want to! SO SHARE!!!

My boyfriend took me on a lot of pony shopping runs and for our first month anniversary he got me, among other things, a G3.5 Rainbow Dash plush and the electronic Celestia toy. He knows about and supports me buying ponies and watching it.

He doesn't take time out of the day to sit down and watch the new episode when it airs, but I can talk to him about the socio-political implications of having an omnipowerful god-king in Equestria. I've promised him that I'll never get to the point of having a pony room though, as I feel that's having too many toys. Granted, we'd rather have a video game room we could both enjoy than I just having a room for plastic ponies.

We each have our own things that we like but we know enough about our interests so we can hold conversations about it. It's nice that your husband himself is liking FiM, as it is a really nice cartoon.

My roommate is a big brony and her boyfriend is the writer of an infamous fic that has to do with the manufacture of brightly colored precipitation phenomena. They actually met because she wore a cosplay of the main character from his fic and it got spread around online!

My fiance and i watched the FiM cartoons together, and he is very supportive of my collection. :3
So not a brony, but a totally awesome guy! <3

I have a wonderful husband who has his own case of toys and he has tried very hard to memorize some of the names of my ponies. I quiz him sometimes. Lots of fun when the one you love.. loves the stuff you collect.

That's so cute. :) I have a new boyfriend, I kinda just told him about ponies. He's not too freaked out and ran away yet.. so, so far so good! IDK if I could get him to watch the cartoon though. I am trying to encourage him to start getting back into the old games that he used to collect.

@Phekzhen

We have surprisingly the same interests and both collect our own separate little things we enjoy. Sweet on the videya game room! We are both gamers as well but haven't discussed dedicating a room of that sort yet, but I can see that happening on accident. xD As far as the rooms that we would like to turn into is a study room, (total book nerds) and a room split with half of his collections and my pvc go now collections!

Intriguing.. makes me want to read the fic now. :p

Yeh, We're pretty much caught up on all of the episodes but he loves watching them again from time to time and I told him recently that if he ruins the fim for me, I'm pointing fingers at him. Its a nice feeling regardless though because I can imagine some guys farting of the mouth about stuff like wonderful ponies and such.

@Fizzy Pop We are lucky to have wonderful lovies! ^-^

@Mirakat I tried quizzing my bronie and he just points to them. He seldomly gets them right. xD

@ Sweetiebabyfizzy ARWS!! He'll get used to it in time and hey who knows, it might grow on him.

@Cyborgninja42 Which ones does he collect? My hub loves Nightmare Moon and I'm trying to find one for him so I can surprise him with one. :3

My boyfriend likes how happy my ponies make me, especially when I get new ones in the mail. He supports my collection as it is less expensive than buying and collecting something else like shoes. When I've had a rough day and I'm in the kitchen cooking, he'll bring in his ipad so I can watch the cartoon while I cook. He's a minecraft nut so we both have our vices :winkpony:

My fiance puts up with everything, is super supportive and encouraging of my pony collecting. He's not the fondest of digging through gross toy bins at flea markets or Goodwill's, but he'll carry all the ponies I find, lol :) He's the best. Glad to hear lots of our mates are supportive!

My boyfriend has been very supportive of my collecting. He actually got me into g4s by showing the Mane6 Fighting is magic game previews (I'm so sad that they will not be able to finish the game). We are both into Gaming and he recently modified some MLP characters for Arkum Horror so I could play them, he even made quests for them. Most recently, he downloaded a Final Fantasy 6 game that someone modified to have FIM characters, so I could play it when I'm at his house.

He does watch the cartoon with me sometimes, although, I've seen way more episodes than him as he doesn't have cable. He hates the term Brony. I don't think he qualifies as one, but I think it's sweet that he really goes out of his way to spend pony-time with me.

Re:

My fiance is very supportive of my collecting. He loves to get me ponies (allthough I have to tell him which ones I have and don't have as he doesn't keep track of that), he thinks my ponyroom is lovely, he watches the FiM cartoon with me (but he would never put it on himself) and he has a small blind bag collection on his desk next to his computer - all doubles of what I got. Every time I get doubles I ask him if he wants any of them or if I should sell them. Then he usually picks out a few for his collection ;)

He said he would never call himself brony though and I don't think he fits in that category either to be honest. Probably because I have my view and opinion on that fandom and he doesn't fit in my view of Bronies.

But he's extremely supportive and absolutely wonderfull when it comes to my ponycollecting and he does like the ponies. And that's all that matters to me :)

My husband couldnt care less about ponies or FIM on a personal level but he likes to make me happy and so he spends his lunch hours looking through the charity shops and bric a brac markets and has definately bought me more ponies than I have bought myself over the years. He will also pick up MLP t-shirts for me if he sees them in high street shops. He likes the hugs and kisses etc he gets when he comes home from work with a bag of charity shop ponies!!!

He collects Snoopy, Star Wars and Star Wars lego so he can hardly complain about MLPs. We dont have a pony room, they are kind of everywhere on all the bookcases and DVD shelves but I try to keep corralling them so he dosnt get fed up.

My ex and I dated for 2 years, and he became a brony from his interest in me and trying to understand what I'm into. I have dated a few bronies since then, because I've been trying to move on and the guys who like me are mostly bronies. To bronies, us collectors can be pretty cool. Lucky me, because my pony obsession usually is a turn off to guys.

Unfortunately I have problems dating bronies. It's never their fault, I just usually end up getting annoyed and jealous and frustrated with them, and ponies is usually the cause of all our fights. My ex would buy so many for himself I didn't have, nor had the money for, and I'm not normally so greedy, but it drove me nuts. Another reason I get into fights with brony boyfriends is the not appropriate topic of, let's say, "adult" images of ponies. :madpony:

My husband is supportive of my collecting, but he has never watched the show or bought me ponies. (Except for the WalMart blind bag collection for Xmas.) He'll wait paitiently while I did through stuff at thrift stores too.

I kind of wish I could get him to watch FiM because I think he would get a kick out of it. XD

My fiance takes me on pony hunts and doesn't mind (although he jokingly says, "I guess I'll torture myself for a while to take you pony hunting"). He has bought me one pony at a Swap Shop to date and likes when I check in to watch FiM every time on Get Glue.

He teases me about it, but he doesn't mind. Hey... it could be worse!

My OH is a sweetheart. He'd never collect ponies or watch the cartoons or anything like that. But, He does look everywhere for me, he drove us 16 hours and booked a hotel so we could go to toy-shows together. He has fun seeing the tables with things he remembers as a kid, but that trip was for me.

He has a few collections, but was never um, lets say intense as I am with collecting. Likewise, I started watching some of the series he collects on DVD like Dr Who, or Battlestar Galactica. Once I have cases for his book collection (they are in boxes... :( )I'll start reading a few series he really liked. We don't have to do everything together but we do enjoy taking part in each-others hobbies, it's nice knowing what your other half enjoys.

my husband supports my addiction, and he will get into the show with me occasionally. he knows the characters names, and he likes applejack/rarity the best.

however, he would probably use a squirt bottle of lemon juice on anyone that asked if he was a brony ;)
