Build-A-Pony is being phased out

I am truly heartbroken.

I talked with a friend of mine from high school tonight- he went to Disney through a college program to work. It was on an unrelated matter (school stuff) and I admitted I was somewhat jealous of his job. He asked me why, and I told him it was because of the My Little Pony build a pony, which 've wanted to do but haven't been to Florida.
His response?

They are phasing that out in late August. It will be Build-A-Bear.

Lol. Sorry. They wont be making ponies anymore.

They will still sell the made versions in Mickey's Mart for like 10 I think.



So... stock up on your cute pony accessories, guys. D:
 
That sucks :( I wonder if they still have the build a light saber and build a potato head station?
 
aw man that totally sucks because my parents are taling my brother down to collage at the end of August and i was going to give my mom money to go to Build-a-Pony for me (still jealous she and dad get to go to disney while they're down there while i'm stuck at home with the other two sibs). A BABW would be neat i admit, but no more ponys??? T.T super sadness

aww that sucks so bad!!! I wanted to go there! I was planning on going to florida in january...looks like im going to be too late :(

I've always wanted to go for the Build-a-Pony section.. Guess theres no point now. T_T
 
That really is too bad. :( I did make it there once and it was just awesome. A very neat idea it's too bad they are changing it.. but that's what Disney does..
 
Sorry to bump this back up...but does anyone know if the transition has happened yet? My family's going on vacation to Disney this week, and I want to know if I'm too late!
 
I'm just glad I got to enjoy it twice. All good things must come to an end I guess. Grab 'em while you can!!!
 
That is such sad news. I am happy I made it when I did then. Perhaps they will cycle it back in if this new generation of ponies are successful.
 
that sucks! I'm trying out for the Disney college program this year. and here I was hoping to work there and on days off spend my hard earned cash on ponies and other Disney merch. :(
 
my parents just came back from there and they said they looked all over and couldn't find it anywhere (and my mom really wanted to find it so she could get the disney lugage by spending $50 without feeling guilty XD;;; ) so i think it's already gone, which is sadness. but oh wells...time moves on
