Candy-making with Applejack

Yesterday, I made some apple cider caramels for my Etsy shop, and Applejack and Apple Dazzle wanted to help out! First, we reduced down some of Sweet Apple Acres' best cider into a yummy, cinnamony syrup, and the girls helped me taste-test it.

Next, they sat back while I did the hot cooking--boiling sugar syrup and plastic don't mix! But when I poured it out to cool and set...

Girls, get down from there before Granny Smith tans all our hides!

Finally, once it was cooled and set, we each tried a piece:

Soooooooo good! I'm very pleased with how it came out. And we couldn't resist one last picture with the whole mountain:

All in all, it was nearly a pound and a half of caramel!

Thank you! ^^ Pinkie's definitely going to be helping out! I'm planning on doing a flavor for each of the mane six, and maybe more after that. I know I want to do Celestia and Luna (once I get a Luna toy), and after that? Who knows!
