now that she is all safe and sound in her new home just in time for christmas...
I got elvenwine26 as my partner for the Arena holiday customs swap. Out of her interests, the one thing she liked the most about the holidays, apart from her family of course, was the bells and the music...her favorite song being 'Carol of the Bells'....you know the one....the one that plays in Home Alone as Kevin sets traps for the impending burglars...ya, you know the one. It's actually one of my favorite christmas songs as well and so it was a really great theme to run with. She also mentioned that her favorite color combo was teal (which ended up drying with less of a green tinge to it) and deep orange, so i wanted to incorporate that as well, making the colors a bit more christmas-y by doing the hair in 'candy apple' and 'virgin snow' from dollyhair. Her custom has had a full body repaint, new symbol and new eyes with acrylic paints. The scarf was crocheted by me and fasted with the cutest little heart button...all cozy-ed up, ready to go caroling.
I am really in love with this custom. Like so much. The color combo and the symbol, with the candy cane curls just clicked together and i am so happy with the way she turned out.
Anyways, Carol of the Bells...enjoy.
thanks for looking!
.heart.
