Sweet Blossom is one of my first ponies from childhood, she's actully the first pony I got new in package, and the first one I opened.

I always took good care of my toys but when I was a child I used hair spray and gel on her, and that ruined her hair :( I didn't knew at the time that was bad for the hair.

Now that I have experience re-hairing I restored her, using atomic turquoise and fixing some scratches on her symbols.

I'm happy with the result!! :cheshire: she looks new again :yay:

She looks really nice with a new do. She was in very nice shape for being played with.

I have found many ponies with that kind of hair so now I know why. Gel and hairspray.

Thanks for sharing your restoration.

Wow! She is looking great! Look at that beauty! Awesome job!

Thanks a lot!

I'm very happy with the results, is like getting the pony back from the day I opened the package :apple:

Is surprising how the hairspray and gel can damage the pony hair, this one has more damage since it was hair spray from the early '90s.

I remember that was mush stronger back then than the ones we have now. :tongue2: wish is a good thing to have softer ones.

Sigh.. I remember the feeling of hard stiffnes on my own hair , I didn't like it :seestars:

Thanks everyone ;)

Wow. She looks great now. I have a few I need to restore, myself. Out of curiousity, how do you get the paint smooth to touch up the symbols?

I use the a bit brush wet and very few drops of water (like 4 or a bit more ) for the paint. 8)
