Collapsing Horns on G4 Unicorns?

I just recently noticed that my DJ-Pon3's horn is starting to collapse forward a bit, almost like it's sinking in to her forehead. I think it's a pretty new development seeing as I've had her for a while. I don't think she came with the flaw, since I look over any G4s I buy due to the complaints about damaged ponies and bad packaging. I've compared her to my other unicorns and none of them look like that. I can push her horn up so it stands up properly, but it sags back down soon enough. It's very strange. I'm just chalking it up to poor manufacturing and quality control, but I'm curious as to whether anyone else has seen this.

:ETA: She's a regular pony, the one from the TRU favorite collection, not a plush or anything else, if anyone's wondering.

That's... odd... is it a regular rubber pony or a plush?

A regular pony; I should have specified. I'll have to edit my first post. It's definitely odd. I've never seen that happen to any pony, G4 or otherwise.

*dashes over to her G4 shelf to check* Nope, mine is still ok "phew". Are you storing/displaying her near anything which might affect her like a heating pipe or anything? Just thinking if the shelf/cabinet she's in might be near a heating pipe or a display case light bulb or something, it may have slightly melted her??

How weird... That's never happened to mine, but it may just be weak plastic around the horn, or else her head is too warm. Not sure how you would fix it though :/

I was hopping around ********** and ran into this:

She's currently up for sale on eBay if you want her (under Princess Luna figure).

Is this the issue you're running into?

Here's a "normal" figure to compare:

Wow, that Luna is pretty bad. I can't really say if that's the issue precisely because the regular ponies' horns are so much shorter and probably wouldn't be able to flex in the middle like that, but that might be what it would look like on a larger scale. I'll try to get pictures up later in the week since this will be a very busy week for me. I don't think it's a temperature thing because she's not near any lights and I have radiant heat that comes up through the floor so that's not it. Not to mention the heat hasn't been on lately. And like I said, all my other G4s are stored in the same conditions and I haven't had an issue with any others. I've pretty much reached the conclusion that it's just weak plastic. Thanks for the input, guys! This is really very strange.

im wondering if it could be because the weather is starting to heat up around some places. do you live where it may already be getting up to 80 degrees? i know hot weather can be an issue for ponies and not really having these new g4s last year we are seeing something new that effects them.

No, I'm up in the Northeastern US and it's still only in the 60s. That's definitely a thought though; it'll be interesting to see how hot weather might affect the newer G4s.

I noticed a Princess Celestia at my Walmart last weekend who seemed to have this collapsing horn syndrome IN PACKAGE. I'm regretting not taking a picture now, but I purposely left her on the shelf in favor of a another Celestia who did not have it because I thought she looked stupid...

I can try to see if it's there next time I go and take a pic?

Let's write a letter to Hasbro! That would be cool if they came up with a solution.

OMG!!! i just frantically checked all my g4 unicorns and they are all fine. i'd have died if i had found a saggy horn. it's like the episode of fim ''bridle gossip'' where twilight gets a mad case of poison joke and her horn sags. it's sad that hasbro has such poor quality control. i bought an aj from walmart and she had a crack on her non-display side, so i couldn't even see it through the package.

None of my G4 ponies have any saggy horns, but I did notice that when I bought my Princess Luna (the good example Phekzhen had shown) one of her wings was softer and much more flexible that the other. That wing may actually be slightly sagging already, so I'll just have to take proactive measures to keep it standing up.

My guess is the same as a few other mentioned, poor quality plastic. These sags are probably due to weak spots in the plastic, thanks to either a) cheaper materials used, b) less quality control, or c) a mix of both.

Shame this happens even before purchase.:sadpony:
