Aw I hope you have a speedy recovery!! Tooth pain is literally one of the worst pains.

Also congratulations on getting your full set!!! That must be so satisfying :lolpony:

I also feel your pain and hate the dentist. Hooray for your pony collection though!

Ugh, not a fan of the dentist either!! Tooth pain is the worst kind of pain, hopefully you heal up without much trouble. I agree it is totally appropriate to get your set completer first tooth pony as reward for having to go through that ordeal! Glad some toothy ponies are making you feel better :purpleheart:

Princess Rinse and Spit sends her get well wishes too

I had all four wisdom teeth removed years ago. They were all impacted and two were completely sideways. One didn't come out easily, so I was left with a dry socket. Shredded clove packing is amazing for pain relief and helps get the swelling down. Your dentist should have it. You can also use a drop of clove oil to help the gum pain.

Hopefully you heal up fast. It's actually surprising how fast mouth stuff heals!

Do you have the Fancy pants first tooths and Baby Crumpet?

Do we consider purple Valentines twin a first tooth? Or the high priced baby TAFs? These are questions I ask myself for set completing - where to stop. :lolpony:

I had the tooth above it removed about a year ago and it healed so fast! I didn't need stitches that time, but I did for this.

I do have one fancy pants plus I have baby Nightcap. For the sake of my sanity I just saw this set as the original first tooth set XD I love Baby Crumpet though <3

I had my bottom wisdom teeth out in my teens and my top ones in my 20's, the bottom ones were worse. I remember it taking forever to heal and it was so painful, apparently I developed a quarter sized ulcer in the back of my mouth, the dentist said probably from when they removed the gauze they had packed in there while they were doing the procedure. Irritated the area and made the ulcer. It felt like a sharp Dorito was stuck sideways in the back of my mouth for over a week.

I'd be hard pressed to think which was worse, that or my root canal. Or I guess more accurately the tooth ache that led to the root canal. I distinctly remember being in so much pain I told them I didn't care what they had to do to make it stop. You're numbed up so it's not terrible but you definitely feel weird pressure and stuff and are sore after but beats the toothache for sure!

My dental visits from a kid up into my 20's were always awful and gave me a lot of dentist anxiety. It hasn't been until the past 10 years or so I've gotten a bit better about it, and probably only because I got more OCD about prevention and maintenance and haven't ended up needing anything other than routine cleanings in several years.

Hope you're healing up day by day though, and those chompers will be all better soon!

I got dental anxiety from being a kid in the 80s XD Dentistry has changed so much since then. I specifically go to a dentist for phobic people now and got the tooth removed by my actual dentist and not a scary stranger! It was a bottom wisdom tooth for me too, and its the first time I have ever had stitches!

I have a genuine fear of ever needing a root canal. I hope it never happens :(

In nicer news, my friend is driving me to a giant craft store today :D

and not a scary stranger
Well see, you not supposed to go let scary strangers poke around in your mouth.

Root canals are about the same as a filling, they just take longer. As long as there's not decay deep down next to the base of the tooth/bone they don't really feel like anything once the local wears off. This time last year I was in the middle of getting four of them and I'd go back to work after. Only one made me question not going home after.

Really the worst of it, to me, was sitting there for a longer time.

What are your craft plans? And is the soreness getting better?

Mostly just looking for bits and bobs. They didn't have the fat quarter I wanted, it had red cardinals on it. (Very exotic bird to me lol)

That's our state bird, funny to hear it called exotic. Red cardinals are a common sight and theme, not just around here cause of that but because of the idea of a loved ones spirit being near when you see them.

I think they are magical :happyhearts:

Oh man, we’re taking about wisdom teeth?

I got all four taken out at one time and I don’t remember the week afterwards cause I was on so many pain killers xD
