I've tried to cut back, really I have. Yet the urge welled up within and demanded to be sated once more. I needed my fix. The usual sources were dry, so out of desperation I ventured a dealer found on Craigslist. We met in a darkened parking lot; she lifted the trunk door and showed me her product. Bills were furtively passed to her, and I shuffled away into the night with a $22 bag of pure, uncut horse as she drove away.

Yup, got a second holiday Minty now. A couple stinky ones in the lot too, one being coconut I think. Still gotta look these up to see who they all are. Is this a good haul?

Well done! Great contraband for $22. I don't see any HOLY WHOA! ponies in there (EDIT: whoops, missed the birthflower pony--that's half a Holy Whoa, methinks), but still a very nice bunch for the money! And great that Minty still has her booties and scarf.

Hope there were no video cams in the area, cos you'll be SOOOO busted.

The ponies look to be in excellent shape. The purple birthflower pony is very collectable. The Pegs: Cloud Climber and Thistle Whistle, Minty, Rarity, Baby Honolulu, playset ponies--I think you got a great haul.

In the undercover of darkness . . .

Hello there secret agent, I believe that I would have purchased these for this amount also! It's horrible when you don't see anything worth getting for a while, I have done some things in search of - (basically waste gas on a Hopeful adventure) so I have to say: Nice Job!

Thanks for sharing - I know I don't have some of these and I like the fact that some of them came with clothes!

Wow! I think you got a great deal! You got them for less than $2 per pony. And I am so jealous of your cloud climber. She is such a lovely peg. Congrats on your score. :)

Wow! Color me green with envy! That's one sweet lot, congrats!
By the way, if you need a really good site to ID ponies, I recommend My Little Wiki. Ever since I've found it, I've never had problems with identification!

Neat, thanks for the ID tips (I really do need to start making nametags for all these guys!) The seller was the mother of the little girl who owned all these, and aside from a bit of blue smudging on a couple of them and hair that needs brushing, I can't really see anything wrong with them. Definitely not bait. Oh, and there was a big bag of accessories too; mostly brushes, a few beach items, and two clip-on wing thingies.

I appreciate the heads-up on the more collectible ones too. To be honest, resale value or hopes of a really valuable one isn't really why I've been getting them, though I'll definitely make sure the rarer ones stay more protected so someday someone else can enjoy them too. I guess at this point I'm still exploring the variety that's out there. The ones which set off my personal "Hey, cool!" response were Cheerilee and the blank DIY pony, and Honolulu's kinda cute with her little wings. I'm easily pleased, I guess.

The little girl was in the back seat of the car while we did our exchange. In ten years she'll probably be on here trying to build her collection back up and complaining about the mean man who cackled and twirled his mustache as he made away with her childhood ponies.

Awww! Would yah look at that? Such a nice group I must say!
