curly hair

Curling with straws can last for several months but much lik people hair, pony hair won't stay curled forever

The longer you leave a pony's hair done up in curlers or other material the more staying power it has. But, heat is the only way to really "set" the nylon hair. Sometimes it depends though. I've had some ponies' hair be incredibly conformable while others have lost their curls rather quickly. You have to be careful too when using boiling water as you can end up damaging the hair instead if the duration of time is too long. I also use material that can certainly withstand the boiling water for the curlers.

I've had success with the boiling method mentioned above!

Another way is to shampoo and condition her hair before setting it into curlers, but leaving a bit of conditioner in. It softly cements the curls into place, but they will eventually loosen with time (it took mine a few YEARS though)

But the ones whose curls I boiled still look as good as new. The conditioner method is just for your reference, but I also suggest boiling. Just make sure to not submerge the pony, just dip her curls into the boiling water for 10-20 seconds.

oh ok, i just gave my honeysuckle straw curls and took them off, i dipped it in boiling water, thanks everyone! i`ll try to post pics
