At the beginning, I thought Mr. and Mrs. Cake might be Pinkie's parents, but then I saw the Cutiemark Chronicles ep with her on the rock farm. I'm wondering how she ended up in Ponyville and what her relation to the Cakes are. Is she just working for them and renting a room? I really want to know!
Also, how come Fluttershy had never touched land before? I see tons of Pegasi in Ponyville! Maybe she lived on that big cloud city (I am so bad at remebering these names, man) and had everything she needed without having to touch down?
What happened to AJ's parents? When we see her leave home, we see her brother and Granny Smith, but no sign of the 'rents.
Also, aren't Twilight's parents the cutest? I love their cutie marks.
I am so hoping for a more detailed explanation of their pasts in season 2. I can hardly wait!

I think it was also strange that Fluttershy knew the names of all the animals on the ground even though she had (we can assume) never seen them before. Also since she is such a weak flyer its likely that she never left Cloudsdale because she wouldn't be able to get back up there.

Sometimes I wonder if Pinkie works for Mr. and Mrs. Cake or if she just shows up and bakes on her own! I'm not too sure how pony genetics work but its a little odd that she is so neon when her family is more dull colored. I wish her sisters had come to Ponyville, they were really cute.

When we see Applejack leave home she is about the age that Apple Bloom is now, so they must have parents somewhere.

I'm also hoping to see more of Twilight's parents her dad looks like he would be really funny and her mom seems sweet.

Pinkie Pie lives in the apartment over Sugarcube Corner (as shown in 'Party of One') and is believed to work for the Cakes and rent the apartment.
Nobody knows what happened to AJ, RD, FS, & Rarity's parents, though there is some speculation that AJ's parents moved to Appleloosa for reasons unknown.
The 'big cloud city' is Cloudsdale.

Cloudsdale. Yeah. I have a hard time remembering small things like that, and it seems as I get olde rmy memory id getting worse. If I was ten, however, I would remember everything there is to remember about it lol.

As for Fluttershy knowing the animal names, she probably went to school and learned about the rest of the world, no? I knew what a giraffe was before I'd seen one in person before, so I'm assuming it's the same with her.

I think it's pretty weird that we haven't seen AJ's parents yet. You'd think that we would at least see them in the background, or in that scene in the first ep where Applejack introduces her family. I wonder if she and her siblings are now orphans or something... possibly being raised by Granny?

Glad to know I'm not the only one who over-analyzes the details of a kids show, lol!

I have a feeling Pinkie gets her bright colors from "Granny Pie" and her immediate family shuns her because she looks so different. XD

Maybe Fluttershy never touched land before because she was a very sheltered/sickly/shut-in filly?

I also really want to know what happened to AJ's parents! I have a theory her parents are actually Oranges and live in a city somewhere. They wanted to give them a more down-to-earth upbringing so they left them with Granny Smith. Or maybe they don't really talk about their parents because they don't get along or are estranged.

I hope we see more of Pinkie's sisters, too! I wonder what their cutie marks turned out to be. I hope that we also meet Rainbow Dash's parents eventually. If her mom turns out to be/ looks like Firefly, I would be so happy! XD
