... exactly which ponies you have?!

As in, do you know which ponies you have/ don't have without cheating and looking at a checklist?

I'm not asking you to actually type them all out... I just wondered! :p

Some people have such huge collections- don't you sometimes get confused?! :hide:
 
I admit.....I forget sometimes. I almost bought another MIB Bee Bop because I didn't remember that I already had her. Luckily, I checked my list before buying and realized that I did have her.

I do remember about 95% of my collection from memory.
 
if i'm not sure i check my photobucket where i have all my ponies ^_^
but i remember most, specially if i see a pic of one i have :)
names are a bit harder :p
 
our collection is still small enough for me to know which ones we have if i see a pic of one, i'm not good at storing names in my head.lol
 
Yes, I don't have that many yet. Only the G3 names may escape me :p
 
Yep I know everybody in the herd - my collection is big but not amazingly huge.

I also have all mine displayed on their shelves so I see them everyday :D
 
Yep, I'm like Jewel -- I know them on sight, and usually the name comes with them. I sat down the summer I decided I was serious about this pony thing and went through Dream Valley, memorizing them. I'm better with names on the sets I'm interested in (adults, flutters, "regular" babies.) I'm not going for the full US set, so that helps a lot. ;)

Now, G3's...I know which ones I'm missing, but once I get them, I sort of "delete" them from my mental checklist, if that makes sense. I can still rattle off the names once I get them in my hands, though.
 
Yes, since my collection is small at the moment. But even when I had a large ones there are just some that I know by heart. With G1's I know most adult ones from 1983-1985 but from then on it gets fuzzy except for the sets I like.
 
Yep, I know all of the ponies that I have in my collection. :D I'm not great with names, but I have great photographic memory.

I could probably tell you where every one of my ponies came from too! :D (Thrift stores, Ebay, etc.)
 
Interesting question! For my collecting, I rely greatly on having a photographic memory. I'll recognize the appearance of a pony before I'd recognize its name.

Ditto to that. I get some of the later names mixed up..... but my memory works visually. I never forget which I'm missing/which I have. or even which I need to upgrade. :lol:
 
My collection is small so I know all the ponies name but I still don't know the names of other ponies in other sets that I am not collecting in. There are so many pony names like over thousands!
 
I don't know how many(I need to count)but I think maybe around 70??I don't know.:frog:
 
Sometimes I do forget but I have had them in storage so long it's a little easier to do.
 
I only have about 200 ponies so not as many as some people so I can rely on memory for mine. I do tend to remember the hair and body colour of a pony before the name of the pony too. I generally know which ones I need from a set by memorising their colour combination.
 
As for my G1 collection, I remember most of them, and most of their names too. I just sometimes mess up the country they were made in.
As for my G3, I have not many of them, so I remember most of them, but I d'ont know their names ! (except for a few)
 
I think I could name them all as I only have a few select ones - around 50 or so that I would consider part of my coollection. Don't ask me which I have for trade/sale though...
