Do you like your name? First, middle or last?

Me? No, not at all. My first and middle names are too old fashioned for my taste, my last name is yuck and even though it's simple to say, no one ever seems to be able to pronounce it correctly.
 
No I do not like my name at all. I like my middle name. I would have loved the original name I was going to get had it not been for my aunt stealing the name from my mom after she told her what she was going to call me. Booo on that one.

My grandma did that to her cousin. My aunty ended up with the loveliest name. Her cousin was so mad she didn't speak to her for a long time. What was your name sposed to be?


I almost got named Chelsea but my grandma convinced my mom to name me after her grandma. I don't like Chelse much personally either. No offense to anyone named Chelsea, its just not my cup of tea.

My first name is German for "dark haired and queenly" it has a odd spelling that people mispronounce constantly unless they're german, and people mispell it constantly

It was so weird to other people while growing up that I was made fun of for it yet I share it with the female actress of Pirates Of The Carribean

My middle name is common, but it was given a purpose when my old bestfriend from highschool gave it to her first daughter

My last name, I carry unchanged even after marriage cause my stepdad died before I got married and I wanted to keep the name I grew up with and couldn't stomach adjusting to any new last name
 
No I do not like my name. My name means wind in Finnish. And you can guess how many jokes I get cause of that "how windy it is today?" "Are you nice wind or stormy wind?" "Wind will blow all the leaves" etc. Also my name rhimes with words: lips, mule etc. So someone made joke about that too.. I'm like blaah..
My parents thought all sort of name that would go with wind... summer wind, stromy wind etc... good god no! LOL

My last name is well it is. I have very neutral feelings on it. When I was younger I didn't like it but now it has grown to me. If I get married I would not change my last name.

I like my middle name too^^
 
Oh i was supposed to be named. Sharalynn. I can't really decide what i would like my name to be.
 
I don't like my first name. My middle name is ok at least I did not get the middle name normally given to the first born Louise my sister got that.
My last name gave me heck in school with bullies but I don't hate it as much due to once I am gone and my dad is gone that is the end of the name.
I am not getting married at all so no worries there.

I prefer my nick name or a name I could pick myself.
 
I like my name, I'm a Melissa. My great grand dad picked it and Melissa comes from the Greek word for honey bee. It's made me start to collect bee things and who doesn't love honey bees?! They do so much good for us, aside from honey. The story behind Melissa and how it came to be associated with honey bees is interesting too.
My middle name is actually my grand dad on the other sides first name, so I don't mind it, it makes me think of him.
I took my husband's last name when we married, it's a strong, unique Italian name. My maiden name was German and it was alright, also unique. I feel my names suit me.

I had a friend named Melissa when I was young. After we all went to high school I lost track of these buddies and I have no idea what ever happened to most of them. I have a doll I named Melissa when I was about 5. She is still Melissa. LOL

My Mom does not like her real name either cause it is to old fashioned her Real name is Myrtle Lang it was Hicks was Her Maiden Name before it became Lang
She like's to be called Marie Her Middle Name I like to be called Harmony or Star

I was originally going to be named ether reed or forest, I would have hated ether one of them.

They were great names and your dad stinks for not letting me use them. I guess Forest would have been bad because of Forest Gump, but I insist that Reed is a terrific name. Your mom is a hippie. Live with it and eat your hummus. :D

I was named Rebecca after my uncle Rebel. My dad actually told the attending nurse that my name was to be Rebel Sue, but the nurse checked with mom before the 'official' birth certificate was filled out so she didn't have to have my name changed. I would've have rocked the name Rebel, but I'm fine with Rebecca. Everyone's always called me Becca or Becky anyway. And Sue was my mom's middle name, so I love that.

Action Hank's middle name is Dee, which has been used in our family for eight generations. I was stoked to name him that, and it tickled my Papaw to pieces!
 
Oh yeah I was originally going to be named "Sarah" but I had like 5 relatives with that name so I was named Keira to be different xD

So on family gatherings they giggled over there being "Sarah", "Sara" and "Keira"

And it was annoying and I screamed internally
 
I don't like my first name it's an overly common 1980s girls' name. My middle name is ok I hardly ever use it. I don't like my last name at all it's too long! It didn't even fit under my high school year book senior photo. They had to make the font smaller! The funny thing is that when people meet me for the first time and they head my last name they usually remember my last name.
 
When I was a kid, I wish I had a more unique name, but as an adult I like my first and middle names--Heather Dawn. My last name is meh. I don't mind it, but I don't love it either. I do hate being called by my last name, it's a huge pet peeve of mine. My Mom said she always knew I was going to be a girl and that she was going to name me Heather Dawn. She said Heather was not that common when I was born in the mid-70's (yes, I am that old). I don't mind be named after a heather plant, they are strong, pretty, and thrive in adverse conditions. :)
 
Oh I HATE with a passion my first name. Mum & Dad told me they had several names on the short list (Leanna, Joanne & Jolene) but nooooooo they chose to saddle me with!!!!!

My middle name Marie I like & I also lake my last name too. It's a good Irish last name
