I saw a Happyglow for sale at a very good price recently. I already have one but she's got some marks I don't expect to be able to clean, so I couldn't resist getting one in better shape for such a bargain. She got here today and she's absolutely lovely!

But I'm also fascinated in the difference in size, color, and translucency between her and my other Happyglow. Not sure if it's because this one was frozen by this midwest winter weather during shipping or just a difference in how the two aged. Love this aspect of collecting though, each toy is unique! (Do excuse my dear OG Happy's unique hair. She was lying a bit upside down and will need a bit of a brushing lol)

The plastic could absolutely shrink and contract with age, especially if it's lost some plasticizer. This happens to some vintage Breyer horses too! Plastics are a finicky science...

Yeah I've heard that plasticizer leaks are fairly common among old ponies! She felt a bit harder too so I wouldn't be surprised.

unfortunately from what I heard about the glow and shows is they used to be transparent (I have one) then they umm went "blurry" or the plastic leaked out.
