lol I don't hate pugs Willow, they're just a type I wouldn't want to own, it doesn't mean they're bad dogs! I like big dogs like Golden Retrievers, Poodles and Labs.
I've never really liked little dogs but when my only choice was to get a small one where I live, I looked on the SPCA's website for weeks, found nothing, looked on Kijiji and there she was, the CUTEST puppy I had ever seen, and her mixes were perfect. No flat face but you can still see the Shihtzu in her, the Pom and my favourite part of her, the toy poodle.
AND, she has a beard! Her markings were another reason we picked her besides her really docile temperament. She's got a white chin, then a white chest and some white on her toes, but otherwise all black.
People constantly mistake her for a boy, and I have a pink harness, pink leash, and still people call her a boy...Apparently a gay dog who likes pink I guess lol!

Bailey has done wonders for me, she is my antidepressant, my motivator, my best friend. She helps me fight my crappy diseases day by day and I don't know what I'd do without her. The picture is when she was 6 months old I think. She's changed my views on (some) little dogs and that they really aren't that bad.

She is soooo incredibly soft... and snuggly too!
Very "rolly-polly" ~
Her ears feel like velvet.
I call her "My little Blonde Walrus" ~

Surprisely enough... Valentine does not have breathing problems.
She doesnt even make the normal 'snort" noise most other Pugs do.
She is very very very healthy.
Her only vet visits?... regular check ups and shots. ;)

Actually, its not out of nowhere...I could have sworn I read in this thread somewhere that someone's boyfriend (I thought it was Melissa's) saying he didn't like/want pugs and his reasons, when she wished she could have one. I was referring to what he said and relating to it, I was NOT trying to hurt you or anyone else, nor am I, or was I being mean spirited. so I am sorry, and if I misread something somewhere too, I am sorry again. Its great that you love them, everyone has their personal preferences.
I don't want people to start thinking I'm a mean person just because I expressed my own opinion about something, I wasn't attacking anyone...

Also, those are some cute shots of your pups. All the photos were great and it was a really neat idea for a contest, congrats to you and the other winner.
