This weekend I found this gorgeous mint suprise for sale. She was super white with no marks. So I bought her and cleaned her all up Sunday night wrapping her tail and mane around her neck like usual. Well I just picked her up today and her neck and around her leg are stained yellow!! :(

I knew that the yellow could sink in and stain but I thought it would take A LOT more time then that. I've had Surpise's before but it's never happened. Just letting everyone know if they're cleaning one of these guys to put a napkin or something between the hair and plastic till it dries.

*sigh* Guess I'm going to get some oxyclean, put her in the sun and cross my fingers.

The chartruse from her hair actually came off onto the plastic of the body? wow! I may be out of the loop, I had never heard of that happening. And I've washed mine a bunch of times and wrapped her hair around her body, with no ill-side effects. Same for other chartruse haired ponies. Weird.

Did you try rubbing alcohol? My Sand Dollar did the same thing, and it cleaned off with alcohol / nail polish remover. Watch out for symbols, though :).

...

thanks ilfiorelaluna! I tried my mr clean sponge but it didn't budge. I just grabbed my acetone and it faded it some. Hopefully the sun will take out the rest. That would be awful for a Sanddollar since she's worth a lot more then Suprise. Glad you were able to get it out :)

Lilithdrff I've seen a lot of Confetti's with the yellow neck stain from the hair. It's fairly common in her but I never knew how quickly it stained.

same thing happened with my white mail order valentine pony (rainbow heart? I dunno).. but red won't come out like neon yellow. it's sad =/

I had that happen with a SS Ribbon. I was deflocking her and now she's more teal than before. That stinks for you : (

my honeycomb has a similar problem :( don't know how to fix it :(

So's my SS Ribbon. She was minty when I got her, and now she's all yellow where her main and tail lies against her fur

My childhooh Honeycombwas like that from way back before I can remember!! I never got her wet either, so I think it can transfer dry too.

Yup, happened to me a number of times! Surprise, Baby Surprise, Honeycomb, Flutter Yumyum, Flutter Morning Glory to name a few. I just never learn, do I? Nailpolish remover hasn't worked for me though, I haven't found a "cure" for this problem yet :(

I have a Sand Dollar that is exactly the same. The yellow has stanied around her plugholes and ears. I removed some of it with acetone, although not all of it was removable.
