Error/Mispackaged Applejack?

I was looking at the G4 aisle here and came across the G4 single ("playful pony" w/animal friend) Applejack and she has no forlock. I was wondering if this was an actual error or mispackage? Another member told me that the core 6 were released again in wave 3 and Fluttershy was made with a lighter pink hair color so I was wondering if the rest got some little new makeover as well.
Does anyone here know? If it's not some kind of error then I'll just return her to the store.
 
I think it's been mentioned that there are now two different variations, with and without forelock of the mane 6 ponies. I think the exception is Fluttershy because she never had a forelock to begin with, but she has had a color change with her hair.



so no, I'm pretty sure it's not a mistake.
 
I bought the mane 6 single ponies and none have a forelock (I know that fluttershy isn't supposed to have one). I think there super cute though :D

Update I have single cheerilee too and she doen't have a forelock??

I've heard that the bangs are being phased out. Cost-cutting changes in production, I guess.
 
I, too, have read that the forelocks will not be made anymore.

...which is a shame, because I love the way they look. They help to make the ponies look more like their counterparts in FiM, too.
 
I have heard that too, in multiple different places, that they're removing the forelock. :(

Yeah, I am too sad that there will be no more forelocks. I think that they look so much cuter with them. It makes me really happy that I got the wave 1 set who have them.
