I did.

Guess who?

Mimic. I'm so sad. I was absolutely sure she was in my bedroom somewhere until a couple of weeks ago when I took the whole place apart to clean and rearrange it entirely. Not a trace of her was found. She's been gone for over a year now and I'm just heartbroken over it. That pony went everywhere with me, grew up with me, got me through so much and we just had so many memories together.

Ever lose a pony that just can't be replaced? It's such a terrible feeling. Even as I type this it's just paining me so heavily to think about.

I had a roommate (also a collector) who stole all of my ponies when she moved out. They were all G1s and in near mint condition. At least 400 of them. 2 years later she felt guilty about the situation, and returned them to me, but many were missing and some had been replaced with lower quality ponies. I was happy to have them back but I always wonder where they ended up!

That is so so sad :( As far as I know I have only ever lost two ponies which I have no idea where went. It annoys me to think about it, but I have replaced them. I hope your Mimic shows up someday...

I lost my minty and Tara toys fakie I had as a kid. They were my favorite ponies, even though on wasn't "real". I haven't seen them since I was ten, and have no idea what happened to them. My mom may have sold them at a garage sale, though. A couple years before I got into collecting my mom sold a lot of g3s in a garage sale, and only left a cheerilee :( then me and my friend killed it in an attempt to customize it. (spray paint and hot glued hair extentions) we learned a lot more since

Well not nearly as sad as loosing/having stolen a childhood pony but one box of my collection when moving was lost in transit somehow. I could not believe in a household of stuff that my pony box would be the one gone missing. *oh, and we used a professional mover as well* Had a minty show stable in box and many good ponies. I was one angry little pony :gonnagetit:

Not that they meant as much as Mimic meant to you, but I have had to replace a couple of playsets and some ponies who were in said playsets (some I have yet to replace)... I thought I had them and they are nowhere to be found. :( Crummy feeling.

:(

I'm so sorry to hear that! Loosing my ponies is my worst nightmare. I can't imagine how you are feeling. :1985:

I hope that you find her, maybe you put her somewhere and just forgot you put her there?

When I joined the Army I left my entire pony collection locked safely in my Mom's basement. I did not want to bring them with me because I do not trust moving companies. They have been known to "loose" many things and I would not be able to recover if they "lost" aka stole my MLP collection. I've had some of those ponies since I was two!

Oh no, I do hope she just turns up randomly somewhere? How sad. I did loose my beloved Remco unicorns and 2 glow in the dark donkey fakies, - when my parents split up I was at university and when my mum was packing everything up to sell the family home she gave away the fakies thinking I would only want to keep the ponies. She also gave away my Dream Castle because it was too big to pack up :( My husband (I married at university) bought me another Dream Castle though because he is lovely). I have never managed to replace the Remco unicorns and donkeys.

Stilletto - Im shocked by your pony stealing room mate story :( Thats horrible and not the kind of behavior I would associate with pony collectors :(

Yea, we had a falling out but I never expected my ponies would be "kidnapped" for lack of a better word. I'd actually be curious if she still lurks on this board, although doubtful as this happened about 10 years ago.

I thought I'd lost all my pony playsets and accessories in the 2011 Queensland floods, they were in a shed in a big cardboard shipping box at my mum's, which was affected quite badly. The other week I finally got to the back of the shed, to find one very mouldy, deformed box, but when opened, found that my pony stuff was fine in there! a few mould spots on some stickers, but mostly as I'd left it. I couldn't believe it! Sending you some pony luck.

Here's to hoping your Mimic is just temporarily misplaced. Sometimes, when you're so desperate to find something, it's like it eludes you on purpose!

That's how I got into collecting. I know all of my good looking ponies were sold in a yard sale. Bluebelle, however, she was very grubby, and had half a symbol. My mom insists she didn't throw her out. I believe her. So she just vanished. I now have 26 Bluebelles, but it still isn't the same.

Aw goodness I really hope this pony turns up somehow! :( I'm so sorry..

I can't believe people have stolen ponies from friends and family...what a terrible thing to do..

I haven't lost an MLP yet but a few years ago I lost my most prize possession: a stuffed fisher price puffalump pony/horse. Lost him in a theme park in Florida. He was with me since the day I was born and as odd as it is to admit I loved him like I would a brother. I still cry when I think of it. ^^;

*hugs* oh no. :( Growing up I use to play with clipper all the time. I remember sitting in cardboard boxes pretending we were sailors on the open sea. He was actually my cousin's but she never played with him and one day I came over went to play with him and she had thrown him away becaue he was missing some hair. :(

I lost my blanky when I was 8. I grieved as though I'd lost a loved one. My grandmother made me a replacemet that I still have, but it isn't the same.

Still, Mr. Skeen isn't allowed to touch it, because it's MINE. I will hand wash it myself, thank you.

Ive had most of my collection stolen from me by many people,My sister threw my toys in the trash when I was 7 just to be mean. its affected me since. I lost my mini vintage pound puppies, vintage polly pockets, sand castles. still makes me cry and be very angry and upset.

I let some one play with most my G3 Mc donalds ponies, Tara ponies, and pound puppies, they ended up getting peed and crapped on by a cat, thrown in a moldy container and thrown in the trash. Or they just took them and destroyed them.

My Care Bear "Share Bear" is missing. That was my first one and alwase my favorite. I couldn't just buy any one..its not the same.

I do not let anyone play with anything I have. I donated all of my odds n ends toys. so I wouldn't get stolen from again and again.
Its not that I don't love em. Its just that I am tired of getting stolen from.
:gonnagetit:

*HUGS* to everyone who has lost or had something that meant so much to you. I never lost a pony, but I did lose a Baby Biggy Bear that I had since I was 5. When my husband and I left our first apartment, (it was an aweful place) and we were kind of rushing, but he was responsible for getting everything out of our bedroom closet. He left a whole bag of my childhood toys, the bear, a my child doll and a couple others. I cried for months and still hurts my heart to think about it. I could never replace them, I saw the same Baby Biggy Bear at the flea market a few years later and the girl wanted only $5 for him, I was already crying and was with my mom and she started crying too, it was aweful. I bought him, but he has since been put away because I realized it wasn't the same...so sad.

I'm sorry you lost her and hope she turns up!!!***More Hugs***

I am so sorry to hear that, i think adults do not understand how kids and teens and even other adults see toys. Its not a sick insecurity. Its just having something that you can look at that will bring you some light of happier times in a very dark and stressful world.

And they way they seem to view it is well in the 50's I had a "raggedy Ann" doll that I loved thats worth a lot, I wished I held on to it. ect..
And the 80's stuff I bought my kid is a piece of crap that has no value.

We see the 80's and 90's and some of now's stuff as childhood gold.
Irregardless of year toys are going to be valued by any individual that once had them.

I think people just need to understand that its not the fact that its a toy.
Look past it being a toy and look at the bigger picture, people have emotional attachments.
and braking that is over stepping bounds where they do not belong in most cases.

When I was little my Great Grandmother bought me a G2 Cupcake and it disappeared when I was about 13. I still love that missing pony. We know it was never sold or given away (face my pony wrath) but shes disappeared. I hope to find her someday. In her honor I've started a "Cupcake" army. Just won a MOC Cupcake and waiting to get her here :)

I cant believe how people can steal ponies, but I know they do. I know my mom is supportive (occasionally grumbles when I leave him in the sink, I have to bathe some) But she would never throw them away or give them away without me knowing. Same with my brother. They would perish when they face my pony wrath. I had to bathe a few G1s from the MGR set and left them on a table to dry, he threw them on the floor to make "space for homework" lets just say mom sided with me as I cursed him out, then was checking the beloved ponies out. She lectured him out it wasn't nice to disrespect the ponies after I worked so hard to clean them up.
