Fair pony

I personally enjoyed the Mane-iac as a villain, even though she was only in one episode. You can't go wrong with a pony that's essentially Doc Octopus meets The Joker. But this figure is terrible... poor quality and it doesn't even try to capture her personality. The EG doll is pretty cool looking, but it also isn't true to the character. They'd have done a better job if they'd just commissioned this guy: Maneiac - Spin by frozenpyro71 on deviantART

I am starting to lose my faith in fair exclusives. They used to be artistic and one of a kind looking! the last few i have seen are funko vinyl or average looking G4 brushables.
They just feel.... less special.
This one just takes the cake. they could have made her much nicer.
-_-
Sorry for the rant i am okay now.

....I thought it was clever.
That villain pony is Mane-iac from a comic book world in G4.

So, it being the Comic Con exclusive was rather witty.

I would like this much better if it appeared as though they put some thought into her. I like the concept, just not so much the execution.

Agreed.

Quality/effort aside, though, I think using characters from FiM is a bit exclusive. Obviously, not everyone who likes My Little Pony as a whole likes or watches the show. By using a character, particularly a character that made only one appearance, it takes the fun out of it for quite a few people. Even though the Art Ponies were made in G3 molds, they were more universal because their design didn't focus on only one aspect of My Little Pony.

I love you for saying that! What I was thinking and couldn't quite articulate. As a FiM appreciator but not a fan or a show viewer, this figure holds absolutely no interest for me and it totally bums me out that I can't have a more meaningful piece join my exclusives collection.

I remember people weren't thrilled with the G3 pose art ponies at the time, but I sure do appreciate them much more, now. I think, even then, people were really wanting a G1 throwback/reference and we just can't seem to get it.
