I was going through my boxes today and I noticed that I only have two baby pony complete sets. In that I have everything that came with that particular pony. I have baggies full of accessories (for adult ponies, sea ponies, baby ponies..you name it..even playsets) but sadly maybe only one or two items that go with a pony and some of those ponies I don't even have. The stack toys are making me crazy. The color combinations just make me nuts. I wish they had done them all the same. Its so overwhelming with these little ones trying to complete each pony. Has anyone ever felt this way? I don't really have room to display them with all their accessories and I wish I did. I wonder if I will ever be able to complete my sets or if this is too hard a task LOL.

So, for those of you who had ponies as kids how many did you actually own? I remember seeing only about 3 sea ponies and maybe 6 MLP in most homes I went in during the G1 pony years. Was it typical to have lots and lots of them? Now it seems kids have a whole lot more then what I observed kids having then.

-pats Tulagirl on the head- I can understand how overwhelming finding G1 accessories must be.

To answer the question you asked at the end of your post: I had a lot of ponies growing up. When I was between the ages of 6-10 my pony friends had about 10-20 ponies each and I probably had the same. By age 12 I must have had over 100 ponies. Most of those were gifts or scavenged from garage sales and thrift stores. When I got into high school and had my own money and transportation, my collection grew a lot from thrift store hunting. By the time college began and I stopped collecting, I had more than 200 (many duplicates though). The whole herd, accessories and playsets were in storage from that point until two years ago.

hah, I had 40-something ponies as a kid and no pony friends. Unfortunately though, I got my first pony at 2 1/2 and my mother instantly took away Baby Crumpet's brush and gave me the purse. Most of my other ponies were from yard sales and stuff, so I never got accessories. The few things I did manage to hold onto were one bottle and diaper from a Drink 'N Wet, the lace tutu from a SHS, a Pretty Beat's guitar brush and the purple heart bracelet from a Secret Surprise pony.. but all but the guitar brush were lost by the time I reached high school. Poor lost accessories. :(

I'm so upset I lost my stacking toy base. I use to take off the "donuts" and pretended that the ponies ate donuts. I'm missing a few of my childhood accessorizes.

The petite ponies are even worse! Those little playsets had so many tiny accessories!

Do you know when I was a kid my mother never ever took me to a yard sale and I have no idea why LOL. Pikapal I bet you can find that base eventually. I have seen them in lots on ebay several times where the donut style stacker pieces are gone. Yes it is so true so so so many little items its a wonder any of these toys survived.

I had about 20-30 ponies when I was little. And I do still have most of the accessories.

I had more of a variety of toys when I was little, so I had a little batch of MLP, but overall I had alot of toys--just a lot of diferent toys--my mom liked me to have some of almost everything--lol.

And most of my toys were from stores, but some were from garage sales.

I wouldn't want to think about trying to tell the difference between the baby pony accessories! There are just so many slight variations.

My older sister and I, as children, shared somewhere around 80% of the US ponies, and had all of the playsets. Sadly for me, my mother decided to throw out nearly the entire lot of them since I had been a colorer and haircutter. The accessories and playsets followed suit. I managed to keep about 12 ponies and some accessories. I recently found a old garbage bag full of old toys, and I found pieces of the paradise estate furniture and baby pony accessories. What interested me the most was looking through websites and realizing exactly just how well I remembered which accessories went with which ponies.
