Flutter's Hair-Straight or Curly

I'm looking through mylitleponycollector.com at the MIP Flutters, and it shows Honeysuckle as having straight hair. But I got a small lot of flutters and a few of them have curly hair. Honeysuckle is one. She had a very old rubberband around her hair and it was in curls so tiny that no human being could have sanely done them. And when I got the lot, they were rather dirty. Cleaned up minty but that just shows that they were handled by a non collector.

Is she from another country or something? Might anyone know anything about her? They all came from Florida. I'll post a few more pictures of Honeysuckle (who has firmly curled hair going backwards) and another pink flutter (sorry, forgot name :( )
 
I don't know what hairstyle the flutters originaly came with. I thought they all was curly.

But I don't think it's a different country one you got there.
I know I used to braid my ponies manes and tails and I did it when the hair was wet. I kept it that way for a while and when I let the hair out again it was curly.
So it might just be a child that made some nice hairdos on their ponies and the result came out something like that.
I haven't been able to get the hair straight on the ponies I did it with. So now a few of them are curly =)

EDIT - The other pink flutter... are you thinking of Wingsong?
 
you can see the curls in the pic, those weren't left by braids.


I wish I could help you, but I've had three Honeysuckles total (one was a gift for someone, two are in my collection).. and they've all had straight hair. But two were bleached to white and one had a bad cut, so they were well loved.

*smacks head* I didn't think of her at all, poor Lily.

My ponies hairs looks just like that after being braided. But those braids where in for a loooooong time.I don't know if that makes any difference.
 
Well, Ive had a rosedus with curls just like that, and later on I got one with straight hair. So I guess both existed, right?
 
I thought they all had curly hair. My childhood ones (Honeysuckle and Peach Blossom) did.

my guess is that MLP collector hasn't been updated in a while, and whe she put it up all the flutters she knew of had straight hair. i too have flutters that have hair in such tight curls, i don't think anyone would have sat down and done it.

I do believe there are some flutters out there with factory curl.

maybe if they came for such and such a place their hair was straight and such and such their hair was curly, i don't know but there are alot of curly haied flutters out there with the hasbro curl lol
 
I had some MIB a few years ago... 6 of them had curly hair, but Forget-Me-Not had straight mane (but curly tail). I think they were all supposed to have curly, but it seems one or two might slip through :).
