Someone say Shakespearean sonnet? Yes, Jewel, I'm feeling quite ambitious ;). Wrote enough of those in freshman English to be able to write one pretty quick.

My Tumbleweed Steed

This rugged gruff pony whom I adore
Comes out of the pages of Louis L'amour
Desperado would surely be his tune
Drinking his sarsaparilla in the pony saloon
He has charm, wit and smells pretty clean
You won't see him fightin' or making a scene
He never knows where the wind will take him next
My heart will always be with my pony Tex

My daughter (who is 7 years old) was very excited when I told her I wrote a poem for this and she wanted to join as well. She ran into her room and here is her creation. I am proud.

Title: Pony Dreams

They dance and prance all day
but now it's night
So dream big dreams
Good night pony
