I'm pondering getting the collectors inventory. I work in a bookstore and I'm pretty much addicted to books anyway, and this has been calling me!

I just wanted your opinion. I'm a new collector...i have my childhood ponies and some that i've collected over the past 2 months, i'm in the UK and the main bulk of my collection is UK based...is the book still worth it?

it's a lot of money to spend if I'm not going to use it much....even if i do adore books! What's it like inside, are there lots of photos?

oooh which book shop have u seen it in? i havent seen it in stores in the uk yet
 
i've not seen it in any bookshop unfortunately, but it's listed on the national database all bookshops use, so it should be ok to order in. it might take a while cos it'd be coming from america and is pretty much classed as print on demand.

the world of my little pony, unauthorised guide for collectors is in stock at a distributor used by Waterstone's though, so if you wanted that one it'd take about 1 week to order in.

has anyone used this one? is it worth it, better or worse than the g1 collectors guide? i admit i'd like a book with lots of pictures as i'm terrible at remembering who is who!
 
Dude, it is SO AWESOME. I am mostly into UK/Euro ponies too but the book is too beautiful and worth it's money. I love it and leaf through it very, very often. The pics are beautiful, too.

I think it's ok priced over at bookdepository.co.uk. Free shipping too :)
 
i think i am leaning towards buying it now:) i'll probably get it from work and wait a bit longer for it as i get 30% discount.

does it have a lot of photographs inside then? i wish i could have a nosey inside!:)

It is a great book I use it alot though my copy is a few years back.
