Ok, so I can't actively collect G1s or the hubby will kill me. But there are a few childhood ponies I would love to see again. So I came up with a solution. I'll make G3 versions and add my own little flair to them.
My first experiments:
The Apple Delight Family!
One of my all time fav pony sets. Dad started off as a Breezie, Mum was a Strawberry Surprise (still smells yummy!). The baby is a repainted Charm Bracelet.
Daddy:
I really like how he turned out. I will have to make myself more Daddies/boys. I'm planning on Chief and the Sweet celebrations family next.
Mummy:
The pony had the right colors and the right pose! I was thrilled. I like adding more color in the hair blends, so this worked out really well. It's hard to see but she has a light pink swirl on her body and her hubby has a light green one. The baby girl I think will have a pink one and if I ever get around to making the brother, he will get yellow.
WIP Baby:
Matching her colors back to her parents is proving more difficult than I had hoped. Next time I do a family I will try to paint them all at the same time lol. I will also have to fix her toddler hair, yikes! Her parents love her anyways, even eyeless with crude symbols and bad hair. Aww.
I hope to get inspired to finish her up. What do you think, have I lost my mind? lol.
