G4 Factory Defect

I found this poor girl sitting at Kmart. I passed her up the first time, but I went back a week later and when she was still sitting there I just had to bring her home. Has anybody else noticed if there have been other significant factory defects?
I'm also debating whether or not to take her out of the box. All of my ponies are deboxed, but if I debox her, it would make it harder to believe she came from the factory that way, and was not just modified/customized.
Anyway, I just wanted to share this oddball find, and if anybody else has some nifty factory errors, I'd love to see them!
 
someone has a rainbow dash without wings. I can't remember who.



I've been lucky/unlucky and not run across any major errors like that.

I would keep her in the box, if I were you. :D I couldn't figure out what was wrong for the longest time, and then when I found it I felt dumb lol. Pretty cool find, I wonder if there is a whole batch out there like this.
 
Whoa crazy, on the MLPArena there was a similar post, with the same defect: Rarity with no horn. But that was a different Rarity because it was one with the carriage!

-looks at the picture closely- I can see the depressions where the 'round eyes' are supposed to be, showing up because the 'Rarity eyes' that are painted on don't match up right. Looks like they used an earthie head on a Rarity body by accident.

It took way to long for me to figure that one out.....
I have a Flutter Shy variant. The hairs a different color and its extra long.

I'd leave her in the box it makes her more collectible.
 
Hahaha, this is wayyyyy too cool. Now I know my Rarity isn't alone in this world. She actually had sisters from the same batch!!!!

Got mine from TRU. SHe was the only odd one out.
 
That is one of the best errors I've ever seen in package! I am shocked that they got into packaging without the errors being spotted-
 
That is really neat :) It sure beats all the taobao "prototypes" where they basicly just seem to take a head from one pony and put it onto another ponys body. I ain't buying that... litteraly :p But when it's in the box like that it does make it a fun factory error and quite legit.

I found a MIB G3 Sweet Breeze in my TRU without a symbol back in the days and just had to snatch her up. Kept her in her box ever since and I'm happy I have.

In my world, keeping factory error ponies in their original packing makes it all the more legit and all the more satesfying of owning it as it's a gurantee that it's not a custom :) But that's my point of view on it.

That is so cool, and I too couldn't figure it out for the longest time!
 
How strange! I haven't seen any major defects like this in person... mostly little things like the head/body colours being off and dirt... But that is such a cool find!! Congrats!!! :satisfied:

I would certainly keep her in the box if I were you! It's the only way to prove she really came that way! :smilepony:
