A while back, I had written a post about losing my childhood ponies. Well, on July 4th while on a picnic out at my Mom's, I had found them. The only problem is that I had found only two of them: Morning Glory (Flutterpony, minus wings), and Baby Blossom.

Morning Glory has all of this black stuff all over her, and I'm not sure what it is. I tried to soak her, but most of the stuff still remains. Baby Blossom isn't too bad, except for tail rust, and light black spots all over the body.

Is there a way that I can remove this? Please let me know.

Have you tried Oxy Clean? I found one of my sister in law's so soft's with stains all over it and was able to remove a majority of those heavy stains with it. It depends on whether or not the black stuff has settled into the plastic of your pony. if it has it might be too late :( Try Oxy Clean and a tooth brush, that has saved alot of my ponies that I have found. I have heard baking soda and water helps too. If the tooth brush isn't lifting it sometimes I use a spoon and gently press onto the surface. Hope those tips help, here is a cleaning guide that may give you some other ideas as well:

Good luck!

Yeah this works especially on the smooze which is probably what the baby blossom has. I usually pop the head off and boil the pony for a few minutes with the oxy clean. (Just add the powder slowly or it will boil over.) Then rinse your ponies really well. Sometimes depending on how bad the pores of the plastic have opened up and how much gunk is in it you need to repeat treatment.

I don't like boiling fluttlers though just because their heads are a pain to get back on.

Mr. Clean magic erasers work awesomely on a lot too. I've gotten some ink off that way. Just be careful around symbols, cheeks and eyes.

Hope that helps. Best of luck.

Thank you both for your advice. I will try this as soon as I can. I will let you know how it goes!!!!:catani:

Be very careful with Morning Glory - the neon yellow hair can transfer onto pony bodies (I've seen this happen with Surprise who has the same color hair). Some ponies are fine when washed a dozen times, and other ponies can get a little wet and the hair will bleed onto the body.
