Grrr...... Ebay seller & their Crystal Castle....

I just ran across an auction where an ebay seller is CLAIMING that the Crystal Castle in not in stores and is asking for over 2x what Walmart.com is selling their instock ones for........ They want $125 and claim they paid $100 for theirs plus shipping......

I emailed the seller as personally I thought that this was wrong and asked them why (VERY politely) and let them know that indeed it was in stores (also gave them the walmart address) and selling for less than half their BIN......

Also, they have stolen hasbro pictures for their auction pics. BOTH of the pics as seen EXACTLY on the Walmart website:

Am I just being a bit over sensitive?

I guess it just pisses me off when sellers claim something and then proceed to seriously jack up the price as thought theirs is the only-forever-to-be found item!

Anyway, I'll post the auction link once it ends, otherwise just type in Dream Castle and look for the $125 BIN

guh, that is horrible. first of all, they got the name wrong. how hard is it to put in the correct name when you have it sitting RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU? and it also hacks me off when people are all "OMG THIS ISN'T IN STORES YET SO YOU SHOULD PAY A GAZILLION DOLLARS FOR IT!!" when it IS in stores, and even if it wasn't, would be EVERYWHERE very shortly. *kicks stupid ebay seller*

I guess the castle sitting on my pony shelf right now must not exist. All those pictures I took of the castle and the accessories must've been all in my imagination:p The replies I got to my review don't exist! My goodness, the entire pony community is having a mass halucination!

I went to TRU today and saw at least 20 of the things on the shelf. They're at multiple TRUs over here. I'd imagine they'll be everywhere within the next few weeks. The seller is both greedy AND lazy. Not a good combination.

Hi. I am a bit confused. You say that this item is NOT in stores yet but right now Walmart.com is selling this castle for $59.96 (half your price) and has it in stock......

I thought you'd appreciate knowing in case this is an older listing needing to be updated to avoid problems with buyers.

oh right, because hasbro is NEVER wrong about ANYTHING. nevermind the fact that many collectors are LOOKING AT IT RIGHT NOW, and several have directed her to a website where you can buy it. walmart must be selling them off the black market!! :O

god, some people just cannot admit when they are wrong.
 
Oh! Everyone! We all need to find something BETTER to do than to shop on ebay. Afterall, it seems to upset some of the sellers <snort>

Alrighty. Here is my slightly bothered response to an idiot:

Did you mean, people who have nothing better to do than SHOP and buy YOUR product?

If you are tired of people asking you questions about items you're are not presently correctly than perhaps you should take the time to re-evaluate your selling practices.

The fact is I buy MLP's.

2nd Fact, you are misrepresenting your item and you are now aware of it.

3rd fact, I had given you the benefit of the doubt by sending you the previous message.

The question is, if Hasbro says that it is not released yet, where then would YOU have come across it?

One more thing. Using stock photos, copyrighted by Hasbro IS illegal and has been reported.

If you want to sell MLP items, be aware that I shop ALL MLP auctions. I am also part of the large MLP ONLINE community, all of which are now aware of this auction and your response.

Have a wonderful night and please be assured that I will NOT be wasting my time looking at your auctions to BUY from this point forward.

first of all, sounds like her babysitter is overpaid. second of all, apparently she pays obscenely high prices for ALL pony items ($50 for breezies?!?! WTF??? that's 2 tanks of gas for my car!!). no, i don't contact everyone who sells above retail price, but i do contact people who LIE to buyers and say an item is not released yet when it IS, in order to get them to pay higher prices. if it doesn't sell, the harm is that YOU LOSE MONEY.

sometimes i think ebay should require a mental health exam before allowing you on the site, because there are some seriously unbalanced people out there. @__@

The funny part is that she thinks the rest of the world is just as content to overpay just to get something as she is!

I'm glad she has money coming out of her butt, so she doesn't have to worry about paying for groceries or utilities! $20 for a babysitter??? I hope that's a DAY, and not an hour.

Ebay...come sell your soul, charge twice what something is worth, then make all buyers hate you so you never sell anything again! Wonderful concept...
