I was soooo excited!!! Got it opened up!

I could immediately see the Fakie symbols through the plastic. Ah yes, the inevitable fakies!! LOL!!!

Then, the McD's ponies, plus a Ponyville pony and some Toy Tin Ponies??? Gotta see what they are....

And the G3's!! OMG I was SOOOO excited to see the walking pose Minty!! I just sold Minty in the diva pose *sniff* because I wanted a walking one, and here she is! Plus Spring Fever!! Another I was wanting!! I didn't get too many duplicates, either, woo!!

Ok, here's what gets me: See the Skywishes at the bottom right? See the color difference? The left one is the normal one, the right one is a solid dark pink, no shimmer in the plastic--reminds me of the G1's--what's up with her??? Here's a better pic:

So, no Rapunzels or G1's, but I'm still so pleased with the lot! Could have been better, but could have been a LOT worse LOL! The ponies are in pretty darn good condition, just need a trip to the spa!! So, there it is, the mystery lot!! *grin*

Okay, so I bought a lot of ponies off of ebay today. A lot of 45 with no pictures. Here's how they were described:

SOME OF THEM HAVE THE "MY LITTLE PONY" LOGO CREATED IN ITS HOOF. SOME DO NOT HAVE IT.
SOME OF THESE ARE NOT MY LITTLE PONIES.
THE PONIES COME IN VARIOUS COLORS.
(7)-TINY MOLDED PLASTIC
(11)-SMALL VINYL
( 8 )-MEDIUM VINYL
(18 )-MEDIUM/LARGE VINYL
(1)-LARGE

I asked the seller a few questions about them, wanting to make sure they weren't all McD's and fakies. Here was his reply:

15 ponies have "my little pony" stamped on one of its hooves.
the others
say "made in china" on the hooves,
28 of the ponies have hair for the
tails
10 of the ponies have plastic for the tails
all the ponies that are
are that are vinyl have hair for the manes.
there are 7 ponies that are
one piece poured plastic.

So I know that 15 of them are G3's--yay. 10 are probably McD's ponies. The others??? I dunno. My G1's say Hong Kong, were there G1's with China on the hoof? Any idea what the 'poured plastic' ponies may be? This is fun, but kinda nerve wracking!! I only paid $30 incl shipping for them, so I think I'm still ahead even if I only get 15 genuine MLPs outta it :) Any guesses on what the others may be??? I will post what I got when they arrive!

There are several China G1s, but I doubt these description warrants ANY G1s....

I think you got a whole bunch of fakies. Please keep us posted and I'm praying I'm wrong, just don't get your hopes up!

30$ is a lot of money imo when you don't have any pictures.
Did you ask the seller if he could take pictures for you? Maybe he was just too lazy because he thought noone will be interested.

I really hope you're lucky and don't get disappointed!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you get some MLP out of it. does the seller have good feedback?

I saw that lot too and was tempted to bid becauseI thought it would be fun too. :icon_smile_lachuh:

I think its neat to gamble on stuff like that once in a while. I bet you'll get some goodies! Please let us know =)
 
Sometimes you may find some nice surprises! I purchased a group of ponies with no pictures for around $25....the description just said something like "bag of ponies found at a garage sale." There were about 20 ponies and most of them turned out to be so soft ponies...including SS Bangles and SS Angel. :)

So...you never know....

I hope you got some goodies...please keep us posted!

Was I the only one who read the word in the title as "Gusty" instead of "Gutsy"? I spent the whole post wondering why you weren't mentioning Gusty! Then I went back to read the title and I was like, "Oh, Gutsy, not Gusty!" LOL.

But seriously, that's not a bad price for a mystery lot. Hope you get something cool! :)

Same here. I haven't got the money to go mystery pony shopping, though it sounds fun!

The whole thing reminds me of a few weeks ago, when a seller on eBay had listed about 100 ponies, each with the sole description "My little pony", no picture and a BIN of 19.99€. Surprisingly enough, no one bought them...

Well I know I'm getting at least 15 G3's because they're the only ones with MY LITTLE PONY stamped in their feet. I figured for $30, that's like $2 per pony, plus probably 10 McD ponies, and then a whoooolllle slew of who know what else! Wannabe's galore? Possibly!I did ask for pictures and he said he had no camera. He had other auctions and none had pics. But he's got 100% good feedback, and in hopes that there might be just a bit more than the 15 G3's, I did take a chance :D It'll be fun. Maybe there will be some I don't have. Otherwise, I'll have lots of trades lol If this guy couldn't assure me that there were SOME MLPs I wouldn't have bought it. He was really nice and tried hard tho!

Years ago I bought a picture-less lot, long before G2s and G3s, and in the rough description it sounded like there might be a Diamond Dreams, as well as many others. I bought it, and sure enough, there she was in near mint condition! That was probably my best mystery lot purchase ever!

I did just recently buy another lot and it looks like it may have Anchors Away in it! That lot should be here soon, I paid less than $3/pony, so I'll brag on that one if I do get her!

Now, I MUST QUIT BUYING PONIES!!!! LOL!!!!!
