Im just curious, who all is working on this set? who has compleeted it, and for those of us near finishing it, what charms are turning out to be the hardest for you to aquire?

this set has to be one of the hardest to finish! only a year ago you could buy 4 of them in a lot for $10 or less, now Im paying 10-20 each charm. if I werent so close to the end I think Id just give up! Ive been working on these for over a year *plus about 5 I had from my childhood collection* and Im down to just 1, paint-a-picture. I just lost a bid on her, not shure she will be up for auction again for a loooong time.... so, which of the 20 is your end all?


oh, and please! lets see your pictures! its such a great, understated set, lets show them off! :D

I have ONE mommy charm..Paint-a-picture lol..got in a baggie of accesories at a garage sale..got a pair of flutter wings in that baggie too! all for 50 cents
 
I think, but I could be wrong and if I am please feel free to correct me.
But I think CoolBreezeWW (not sure of correct spelling of name) from NY has all of them!

I should have a complete set right now, but I'm still waiting on the LAST CHARM to arrive. It's been almost a month since I paid, and the seller has not replied to a single email:/ I'm quite worried and very unhappy with this particular seller.

goddess of peep: ahh I know what you mean. im waiting on my seccond to last, its taking forever. good luck! do you have a picture of your set as it is now? Id love to see how you display them or just a neat picture of them :D Ill try to post one of mine too.

I was literally leaping for joy when I was going thru that little baggie lol. my mom thought I was nuts but hey she found it for me! As for the mommy charms, I think I'll keep the one I got, its sorta faded, but I'm going to try and collect them if I get deals on them,I got too many things I collect and want to get into. So far I got these collections going.

I got them :D Plus the mail order Powder Puff (still looking for her necklace piece!), Sweet Scoops charm (also needing the necklace), the Charmkins pony Pixie, and the McDonald's bookmark charms.

I'll try to get some pictures up later.

They are pretty hard to find and typically sell for around $10 each. I'm looking for a few more to complete a second set to sell, in case anyone's selling (see my want post). You tend to get quite a few extras just putting together one set, so I figure why not put together a second one for someone else!
 
ashlyne: do you have an extra paint-a-picture or powder puff? Ill shell well over $10 for either of them! email me!

desert rose: I have pictures, hold on ill show you. its the same mold, but the McClips are the orignal 6 collector ponies and have a large book mark type clip on them, the mommy charms were a promo added to ponys, (20 total) hold on Im getting pictures now....

Do you have a website cause I would so love to see your collection, it has got to be amazing! :wink:

sorry the picture was thrown together kinda fast, but you can see the diffrence in the clips from McDonalds and the regular mommy charms.

Thanks, and nope. No website. Not even decent display shelves for my collection. I have plans (big plans) and a website's a part of that but I'm too darn busy to get anything started. Someday though....

Wow.. that pic just inspired me to get more.. I only have 2 right now.. they are so pretty!

And yes, I believe CoolBreezeWW has them all, she brought them to babyaj's meet :D
 
Yup, I've got the full set. It took awhile for me to get them all. I can't remember which one came last, Sweet Tune or Laugh-a-Lot. Ideally, I need upgrades of two or three, but I'm content with what I have. I keep them in a special display case with my favorite Petites. :)
 
Idk if I have 2 of them, but ones purple and the other is yellow, they don't have pictures, but they have the notch to hang a necklace, they also don't have the clip??
