Kotobukiya just announced the next pony in their Bishoujo Statue series.

And that pony is...Hatsune Miku?!
Yes, Hatsune Miku and MLP are having an official crossover figure! An official Miku Pony!

I gotta say, I don’t think anyone could have predicted this.

I like it!

I’m still stumped though. Why is luna’s human form the only one with a horn?
I've been wondering that myself. It's pretty inconsistent, but I think it's because they gave Celestia "wings" (her dress feathers) so they gave Luna a horn. I wish it was incorporated into the design differently tho. Maybe making her crown resemble a horn a little more, kinda like how Pinkie is wearing a pony ear headband and Dash is wearing pony ear goggles. Rather than just having a horn coming out of her head, you know?

EDIT: I was looking at the official Kotobukiya blog, and there was a post going over the design choices for Princess Celestia's figure. They actually included an explanation for the horn!
"You might be wondering, 'Why does Princess Luna have a horn, but Princess Celestia doesn’t?' They both have it on their pony form after all!
We’ve mentioned it in the previous introduction for Princess Luna, but there’s a reason for this! Princess Celestia, along with the Mane 6 girls, is supposed to be familiar with transforming into their human form. Princess Luna, on the other hand, is not used to it after 1,000 years being alone, so the design incorporates the idea that she would forget to hide her horn when transforming into a human. It is through this sort of reasoning that creates the concepts for the BISHOUJO designs!"

Sounds like a bit of a last-minute cop-out explanation but I like how this adds some...lore to this series. How these human versions aren't the ponies from another world like in Equestria Girls, but actually the ponies themselves transforming into humans...and they do it regularly? How long have they been doing it? And it's only started happening after Luna got banished to the moon? I know I'm putting more thought into it than they ever intended but I want to hear more about this implied lore, haha.

It is really interesting. I want more information! Also, loving the Hatsune Miku one.

Why are we making ponies into humans why can't they just be ponies.

Also I need to see the Celestia and Luna things.

EDIT: I also am gonna admit that I have no idea what a Hatsune is, is it the person in the picture or is it something else?
Yes it’s the person in the picture. Hatsune Miku (given name “Miku” and family name “Hatsune”) is a very popular mascot character (almost like Hello Kitty) that’s marketed as a digital pop star. She has thousands of figurines, dozens of games, concerts, and plenty other merch.

Here’s some backstory: So, in 2004 a computer software called “Vocaloid” was released. It’s a voice synthesizer, meaning it’s like a digital instrument, but instead of it being digital piano, or drums, or trumpet, or instruments like that, it provides the actual vocals. It has these voice banks (originally provided by real people’s voices of course) that can sing words you input and create to any tune you want. The software has many voice packs you can buy to use for your songs. Most of the voice banks have character names and character designs to market the voice with, and most of those character designs are in an anime style.

Vocaloid didn’t really take off until 2007, when the Japanese voice bank ‘Hatsune Miku’ was released for the Vocaloid 2 engine. She is by far the most popular voice bank and is the face of Vocaloid, and her popularity has surpassed the Vocaloid community.

Here’s an example of a song made with Hatsune Miku:
