Hi everyone,

I was hoping some of you might be able to help me. I recently found my old MLP collection from childhood (90s), and while I want to keep a few for sentimental reasons I have a bunch I'd like to re-home.

I've been doing some research and I think i've identified them and their accessories, but I was hoping someone could confirm i'm correct? And is there somewhere that I can find photos of the accessories? I have a mixed up box of different toy accessories to sort through so it would be helpful to know what i'm looking for :) Here's what I have so far, please excuse the state of them they still need to be cleaned!

Secret Star (G1)
Accessories - pink bow comb, a mint-green key, and a pearly white beaded heart bracelet which could be kept inside of her.

Pretty Vision (G1)
Accessories - Blue-green Long Handled Comb, Hot Pink Long Handled Brush, Green Hearts Barrette, Blue Shooting Star Barrette, 2 Wide Light Pink Ribbons

Lemon Drop (G1)
Accessories - Show Stable play set.

Princess Sparkle (G1)
Accessories - dark pink sparkly star pick.

Hopefully i've got that all correct?

Also, does anyone have any advice on how to go about selling them? I'm unsure what kind of price to ask for, or whether to sell them separately or not. There may be more hiding away in my parents attic, so would it be best to wait and sell them in sets, or even as once big auction?

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

You’d probably get more for selling individually. Best way to get fair pricing would be to look at ponies that have sold on eBay and what prices they’ve sold at.

I would be interested in Sunburst (but would need a picture of his other side so I can see how many cancer spots are there too-I’m hoping to save him), Starlight, Melody and Princess Sparkle depending on what you decide to price at and shipping. ;)

Thank you Skybreeze, i'll definitely take a look on eBay to get an idea of prices. I'd be happy to let you know about the ponies you're interested in :)

Twishy that's good to know :) Do you think anyone would pay more than £30 for any of the above? I'm a bit sentimental so I plan to keep any that aren't worth much for the future grandkids ;) I also have Thundercloud, Sweet Scoops and Sweet Stuff (Twinkle Eyes)

Thundercloud! :ponylove: definitely check the sold prices on ebay. The UK exclusives like princess sparkle and all the boys especially will bring in more. (My daughter has been wanting princess sparkle for a while. You can also refer to mylittlewiki.org or strawberryreef.com

Most recently thundercloud went for $90 and sunburst for $85, princess sparkle for $75, melody $30, snowflake $20, starlight $35, and secret star $35-80. That's all USD since they're more sought after here. Honestly, prices tend to go higher towards the end of next month, too.

Oh, and sweet scoops could easily go for $350-500 depending on condition and accessories. She's second to rapunzel in rareness in the U.S. and I've only seen her for sale maybe twice

Yes! Definitely Thundercloud (even with the cancer marks) would for for more than £30! Like Tak said, you’d make more on him and Sweet Scoops for sure.

She's keeping the purple ones! Great taste @aberrans I love love love the purple ponies! ;)

Oh my gosh, I can't believe some of them are worth so much! Now I really want to go back and grab all the rest from my parents attic! Which ones should I be looking out for?

Haha yes i'll admit I was planning to display the purple and blue ones in my office as they go nicely with the decor ;) But if some of them are worth a lot of money it's very tempting to reevaluate...

Definitely look out for Mountain Boy ponies like Sunburst and Thundercloud. They’re worth a lot, especially Ice Crystal, even in “bad shape”. The Seven Friends/My Little Pony Tales characters are also very sought after. And if you do find their accesories, the price automatically increases the rarer the pony (i.e Sweet Scoops and her charm can go for a high amount in great condition very easily)

Bluerose has a helpful price guide of selling prices over time, too. I wish I could offer for thundercloud. Here's her link

Honestly, if the ponies are in pretty good condition, then they're all worth going back for.

As Tak mentioned, mylittlewiki.org is very helpful for identifying ponies and accessories. I refer to it constantly for matching accessories with ponies.
If you sell on eBay, take note of the fees. eBay takes a percentage of both the selling price and the shipping cost, as does PayPal (though that percentage is much lower).

@Larkspur makes a very good point. You can get a good price for the htf ones on here, plus there's mercari and offerup.

@Tak I hadn't realized Sweet Scoops sold for that high! I got her in a $90 lot (that also included Mimic and Red Roses) and had never looked up her price since I already had her. Dang!

Wow! That was a great find! o_O

@Tak has some good suggestions. You might also consider selling on Etsy (vintage items only). There are quite a few MLP sellers who list items on both eBay and Etsy, and others who have transitioned entirely from eBay to Etsy.
