How long should you keep ponies on hold with no contact?

Hi :)

I answered a 'wanted' request on the MLPArena for some ponies. I sent pictures as requested, and sent a possible price range i was hoping for.

Since then i have recieved no contact, through PM's or email. I have seen her online, so i know she has been on the forums, i even PM'd her while she was online, and no reply. It has been almost a week now.

I understand she may have thought the price too high, decided against the pony etc, but she hasn't told me that. I really need the money, or a definite idea of if she wants them or not. I;m hapy to hold for her to aquire the money, but she has not contacted me. Is it unfair to say list the pony on ebay or sell to another forum member? I would feel awful if she PM'd me later on saying she would like the pony, but she has not contacted me at all :(

That's always quite a tough one! I would probably pm her to ask if she was still interested, give it a few days then take them off hold

I don't know if i've made this clear, but i have pm'd her a couple of times recently, once yesterday whilst she was online, its on the arena you can see a list of people online.

I've had no reply, i know shes been online so should have seen she had new messages :(

I'd be happy to negotiate on price if she thought it too high, or add a trade in etc.

I usualy give it 2 weeks. if i have no contact from the person then it's taken off hold (unless they've told me they'll be back later).

If she decideds she wants it, and you still have the ponies, great if not just tell heryou couldn't wait you needed t be rid of them.

I'll say PM her one last time telling her that if you don't recive any contact within a week then the ponies are of hold (or whatever time you feel is aproperiate)
If she doesn't answere you beafore that deadline then just take them of hold.
I usually do that when I had enough. I just give them a deadline that I can take waiting and if I don't get any reply it's their loss.

Hi :)

Okay i will do that. The last PM i got from her was late too saying 'sorry i thought i'd pm'd you already'that was a week ago, like i said i've heard nothing since then :(

Its a little unfair, sometime i have to wait a week to pay for a pony, as my paydays on a friday. But i'll always say to them, right ill pay friday, and keep in contact, will PM her now and see what she says :) if anything

But if she was going to have problems paying she should have mentioned! how are you to know? if she only gets paid on the 15th and the 30th how are you to know when she gets paid and how long to keep it on hold if she doesn't tell you? Either she wants the stuff and keeps in contact or you take 2 weeks ( a reasonable amount of time) And say you haven't heard from her then back up for sale they go.

That's just it, i'm the last person to get annoyed because payment is not recieved immediately because i know its just not possible! People have different paydays, especially young sellers and buyers who don't always have money in the bank :(

I have pm'd her and asked for a reply by Friday, the trade has been going on for about a week and a half, and i think Friday is long enough. Hopefully she'll get her bum in gear and answer me hehe :)
