Today while rummaging around at my local flea market, I came across the pink ‘My Pretty Pony’ pony (that looks like Peachy). I knew right away what she was and snatched her up and dared not to let go of her. I paid only $2 for her and she is in fairly mint condition, complete with her original hat and purple hat ribbon. The only thing that I see that’s wrong with her (aside from missing some accessories) is that her neck and part of her face is a bit discolored and faded from where her mane has laid there over the years in the same position. Instead of the peachy pink color as the rest of her body, it’s a very light pale pink now. She did have a number of stray marks and dirt, but I took a damp rag and washed them off, or at least the ones that would come off easily. She hardly looks played with. Either whoever owned her must not have liked her enough to play with her that much or she was an item in someone’s collection and was just displayed. I don’t know yet if the mechanism in her still works or not. I’m afraid to do too much with it because of her being so old. I’m afraid her ear might fall off or something. lol! Her symbol is in excellent condition too. Not faded or anything, but does have a few dirt marks.
I’m not up-to-date on how much this pony is worth; in fact I'm fairly new to the ‘My Pretty Pony’ ponies. I first saw them both on the Dream Valley web site so all the info I know about them is what I learned from there. I have a feeling she’s a wanted collector item. So does anyone know about how much she is worth, if she’s worth anything at all? I’m not interested in selling her, but I would like to know how much she’s worth and if the $2 I paid for her is a very good price.
The only thing that makes me mad about it is whoever owns the booth I got her from, at the flea market, wrote the price of her and a description of her on the bottom of one of her hooves with a magic marker!!!!!! :x Everything else there has either a sticker or a tag attached to it, but they just HAD to write it on this item!!! Grr!
