All right, so, fiddling with my ponies and talking to my husband has made me think;
What does your husbands/boyfriends say to your collection, does he get into it too or just shrug.

My husband seems to not mind at all, he has questions about them and help to comb the hair, which he finds a little odd, but he likes to help. He even has a favourite pony, I am a bit shocked that this former army man would say he has one, and gave her a name too, she's standing next to his laptop atm, there was another standing there, but he moved it to make way for Bunny Hop, or Trixie. (Which is a relief, my boyfriend before him found it embarresing ó.ò)

That's wonderful he takes an interest in your herd and he likes to help too! :smilepony:

My fiance is pretty supportive, he's helped me collect over half of my collection. He knows ponies make me very happy so I think that's why he's supportive. I think it's cute when he helps me pick out ponies and gets frustrated when he finds out their fakies. The best pony he's ever brought home was Anchors Away for our anniversary. He seems to like the ponies with 'manly' cutie marks like Waterfire.

He doesn't like when they're all over the house though, and lord forbid if I mix them into his action figure collection  He doesn't mind how many I have, he prefers if I keep them all together in the designated pony room.

Yes it is, makes collecting much more enjoyable when someone you hold dear shows interest for sure.

Hehe that's funny, guess they have to stay manly with their choices when liking ponies and keeping the collections seperate ^^
Very nice of him to have helped with your collection, and Anchors Away, what a lovely gift :satisfied:

My husband, I am not sure what he thinks of the living room floor being littered with ponies, and decapitated ponies getting dried ect in other rooms, think he is just overwhelmed at how many different ponies and has said he finds it amazing with all the ideas they came up with for them.

Doesn't it? I honestly don't think I would be as active in MLP collecting if my guy wasn't into it too. I also think its builds wonderful memories if your hubby enjoys it with you :smilepony:

Its so silly, isn't it? If we have to choose between two ponies he always goes for the tougher looking one, which usually means damaged ponies for me  I'm very glad he's helped me so much. Thank you very much, she's special to me mostly because of the sentimental reasons.

Oh gosh he must be so patient! Walking into what most look like a pony' battlefield' must be over whelming. Its wonderful he's supportive and enjoys them with you. And its alright if the floor gets a touch cluttered! I mean hey, its hard to keep them on display. How can you resist brushing and admiring them? I guess its just something our men learn to live with xD

Oh for sure ^^ I recall how it was with the bf who disliked them, it was awful, he collected fantasy figurines and comic books, I didn't mind his place being full, oh well, some people sadly just don't understand.

I am so thankful that my hubby is patient and all fine with my herd's. I felt I had to rush to get them all cleaned and taken pictures of, but he says take time and just let them, ya know, enjoy the fresh air after being cooped up.
I even get a bit overwhelmed, no idea where to start, they are all sorted up in colours, one group is having their hair fixed, the floor is too small to move them around and set up for pictures, I need more room >.<

Guys love battle-scars and such, makes sense why he would spend time looking at the ponies with head's off, wondering what's going on ^^;

Ponies that have sentimental value are the most lovely and treasured, nothing can beat that ^^ It's nice to have a story behind who you got your pony from and why. Feels more special.

Mr. Skeen is cool with it. He knows more about ponies than I give him credit for, so I suppose he really is listening when I talk about them. He doesn't normally buy them for me but he keeps surprisingly accurate tabs on what I have and what condition it's in. He has often helped me prep for sales/Fairs also, by doing basic cleaning. He leaves the intense stuff to me but he can usually be counted on to do a wipe down with a Magic Eraser and soap!

That's very cool that Mr. Skeen likes to help and that he knows so much, kudos to him :satisfied:
I think most men would prefer to leave the more tricky things for us to deal with, I know my husband would be too worried he did something wrong so the pony would get damaged.

My fiance is supportive of my pony habit as long as I don't go crazy spending money left and right. He recently told me I need some more adult G1's because my shelf is spilling over with baby G1's :) He'll watch the cartoon with me and admit that the songs are catchy. He said if the mane 6 ever make an album, he'd probably buy it.

Oh, before this last Fair I had him doing the usual cleaning but I also had him run a bit of conditioner through some hair that didn't need anything else, and you should have seen him freaking out. "Is this too much? Can you use too much? What if it doesn't all come out? Can you tell? Did this all come out? This one's hair won't lay like you showed me to lay it, can I lay it like this instead? Will that devalue her? Come look!"

Hehe :D lovely that he cares how to clean them properly

I always worry that I am tlking to my boyfriend wayyy to much about ponies but he doesn't seem to mind, he is always looking for ponies with me & has surprised me with a few, he living in Sweden atm (until this summer hopefully, depending on his uni) & I am here in the UK so every now & then I get a surprise packet from the post man or woman most of the time he has told me what it was before hand, so I don't get the same one. But occasionally I get an extra one along with the one he told me about :D
He surprised me with custom Buzzer when I went to him a few weeks ago hehe.

He told me few days ago that I have an early Christmas present in the post & I am aloud to open it as soon as it's here, no idea if it will be a pony or not either way I love surprises :D what ever it is should be here next week hehe.

He even told me when we get our own place I am aloud my own pony room, I thought he was joking when he said this, but he wasn't lol

I was trying to keep my own collection quite small but that has now changed & I blame my boyfriend for that hehe :winkpony:

Going off the boyfriend/hubby line, my little brother (he is at uni so not that little just younger than me :p) really likes my Teeny Tiny ponies, he won't admit it but I know that look & giggle when he thinks something is really cute & wants one

my boyfriend has never brushed there hair, except once i tricked him and said if you brush there hair they will blink (the bbe baby pony) and then i laughed and he threw the pony at me LOL so that was the end of that

my boyfriend understands that i will never get rid of them and that i have had them way before he was ever around. he now understands allot more about me and them after watching that my little pony obsession dvd that was done. he also is supportive of me going on vacations to the fair,

normally if i can buy new ponies and have pony vacations then he can have new car or computer parts. we work it out. after all our life bills are paid of course

oddly enough he has more pony luck then me when he walks into the 2nd hand stores and finds them before me

Hubby thinks they're silly but I think his video games are silly so I guess we're even lol!

My fiance just told me I can't watch the new FiM episodes without him :) he's hooked!

I love how you tricked him! Lol and it's nice that you guys have it all worried out so it's fair!

Have you seen this before? Little Pony Heaven - Pony Widower - I live with a 20-Something Pony Addict It's pretty funny.

My husband couldn't care less about ponies but he's hilariously supportive. He goes to pony meets with me and plays all the games. He gets so into it that people keep thinking he's a brony and don't believe me when I tell them he doesn't care about ponies at all.

My favorite is when we're sitting on the couch watching a movie and he holds them for me so I can tie their tail ribbons and braid their hair.

far dreamer that is so funny, i left it open for my boyfriend to read LOL

totaly made my night

DH thinks my ponies are silly, but he's good natured about it and even buys them for me. LOL I am pretty sure I'm getting the Target exclusive FS Pinkie Pie for Yule (there's a box wrapped under the tree that looks to be the right size/shape). LMAO He may not understand, but he knows it's something that I love. :satisfied:

Matt is totally supportive of my pony addiction. The regular thrift store haunt is a weekly thing now (don't even have to say a word unless I *don't* want to go) and we occasionally go to the swap shop and stop at TRU when I'm feeling froggy for new ponies.

He has been with me for the BaB trips and I bought him a Spike on the last MLP trip. He has told me several times that he sleeps with Spike every night (in my place; we don't live together yet). :) The last time we all posted here about our BF's / fiances / hubbies / significant others, I think I posted a picture of him in the middle of the mall with my Pinkie Pie BaB on his shoulder. LOL.... some guys wouldn't be caught dead like that, much less watching me stuff one, name it, dress it and pay for it in the actual store! (Or even try asking me to buy him one!)

Don't have a boyfriend (I'm a gay girl, holla!), but my girlfriend thinks my pony-love is adorable. A number of weeks ago when I got a lot of 87 ponies for $90 on Craigslist I was kind of freaking out because I was SO excited and she laughed at me and said I was precious. And then secretly videotaped me.

She doesn't really understand why I like ponies so much, but she's supportive and will listen to me go on about the differences between the generations and I think she actually remembers some of them? I showed her a Summer Winged pony and she got excited because she thought it was a Flutter Wing and was awed that its wings weren't broken!
