Can anyone tell me I’m not going crazy? I was planning on selling this puzzle and wanted to make sure it was complete. I counted 108 pieces. :surprisepony: Well that can’t be right, so I assembled it. Puzzle is complete with no extra pieces. So I counted again as I disassembled. Still 108. Was the ‘100 ct’ on the front just an estimate? Are the other puzzles like this too?

Is it used? Maybe a few pieces are from a different puzzle that the previous owner/family mistook for the right ones?

Edit cause I can't read lol.

Guess they just rounded down the pieces?

Edit #3 cause I was curious. This is from Wikipedia:
Jigsaw puzzlers often want to know in advance how many border pieces they are looking for to verify they have found all of them. Puzzle sizes are typically listed on commercially distributed puzzles but usually include the total number of pieces in the puzzle and do not list the count of edge or interior pieces.

It goes on to list how some math on how exactly to figure out the number of pieces. More than likely companies just round the puzzles to the closest number count. As long as you can complete the puzzle the average person isn't going to count the pieces! XD

Not unless they’re selling anyway! :lolpony: Thanks for the detective work. I had no idea!

Edit:  Holy smokes! That math is insane!

Wow, I never thought about this or noticed. Guess I just put the puzzles together and never had a reason to bother counting the pieces.
Learn something new everyday!
