Hello, I have no idea how this hole thing works. How does the trading work? I am jumping to quick into this? Help.

Welcome to the TP! You've made a great start by doing an introduction :) We like to get to know the people we buy from and trade with :) Tell us a little about yourself! Which generation do you like the best? You can later post sales or trades in the corresponding forums. The FAQ is a great place to browse around and learn to. Happy pony hunting :smilepony:

Hiya there! Welcome to the board.

Typically if you want to trade, you'll post things in the "Want to Trade" forum. Pictures of your trade items always help get more interest quickly. Be willing to wait, sometimes it takes the right person seeing your post before you get a trade going. Being that you are new, many people will probably ask you to send your trade item first. When they receive it, they will send your item to you. Check people's feedback, and if you have feedback elsewhere, like MLP Arena or eBay, direct people to that so they can see you're trustworthy.

Mostly you'll just need to let people get to know you, like Dragonkiss said and trades will start from there!

Do I do it here? Okay. Ummm I guess I like G4 the best, but I remember watching G2 when I was a little kid. I am a college graduate of 2013 and trying to get a job in tech and animation.. I am a girl.. I don't know what else to say.. O_O

We won't ask for your whole life story yet. We're kinder than that! lol!

I do find your intention to go into animation fascinating! Are you looking at CGI or traditional animation? I'm a huge fan of the media.

Oh, and congrats for graduating! YAYS!

I did study in CGI mostly, but I have to say I am more into rotoscoping. I like it way more. And thank you for the congrats, but in the south, jobs for this kinda stuff is hard. :smilepony:

Ah! I love rotoscoping! From Fleischer to Bakshi, I always found the process to be very visually appealing. Seems like it was used some in Rock and Rule to very good effect (I know a lot of people have argued it conflicted with the fluidity of the animation, but I for one found it to be well placed).

Would you happen to have any student films we could check out? I'd love to see your work.

(Sorry, the art fan in me came out and started rambling!)

Ahhh I do, but I am very green and it shows in my work. I like simple. But I am currently working on something from home, just to not get rusty. When I am done, you will be the second to know about it.. (Its a short film for my roommates cat that died.. As a I am sorry for her lost gift. So she will be first ^_^)

Do I go to you page to learn more about you, or do I ask?

Rotoscoping? I'm kind of noob when it comes to techy stuff...What's rotoscoping? It sounds cool! That's so sweet you made a film in honor of your roomie's cat. It's always heartbreaking when our furry friends pass away.

You can ask people questions on the forums, visit their profile pages and post on their walls, or start a convo in pm's. It's really up to you. Everybody is pretty friendly around here.

Hello and welcome to the Trading Post :unicorn::Welcome:

I'm sorry to hear you've met some unfriendly fans.

 Wow, people still do rotoscoping hum? That's unique!
Such a digital age now. :sadpony:

Hope you enjoy your time on this site!

Rotoscoping sounds fun! I miss seeing the older styles of animation. I helped make a live-action puppet movie once. It took forever but it turned out so cool in the end.
