This is exactly what my R2 does. He buys one to play with and one to store away. I think he thinks when he is 80 he will be a billionaire from his toys. LOL It sure is hard to store the MIB MOC toys without them getting damaged. A friend gave me some MOC dolls I had when I was a child and their bubbles just literally popped off one day from shrinking due to age. Oh well. I kept them flat at the top of my closet. I have no idea what happened, but I did have loose ones of these dolls.
I don't know, I see a trend in society to become more and more minimalistic. People buy these huge modern homes but there isn't much in them. To me it is an open space of unhappiness. More and more people are going this way. I really feel that in 40 years if we are still on this planet this may be a norm more than the 70's clutter way of living that I am so use to. Uggg There doesn't seem to be any more of a common sense of appreciation for older things and passed down items like in my childhood. It is still there, but just not in the number say when I was a kid. So, some of us have to save the toys and dolls for the generations of people that don't care but someday will find value in antiques again. I will say, "come, look at this 100 year old blue blob, it use to be a My Little Pony but due to age it has melted down to this hard mass of goo and symbol." Picture them all ooooooo and aaaaaaaaaa over the melted pony with sticky hair. Baaaa
