i want to see where you make your customs. :)
i really need to organize my customzing supplies. *faint's*
because i'm getting a box full of customzing supplies in my mail soon.

mine is in my computer/carft room, so i will post my pics soon.

This is what my space looks like until I get fed up and clean it all up. But that doesn't last long and its back to looking like this in a day or so.

lol omg wat a good thread i will be watching too i donty have a work space to makecustoms i was painting them n putting them on window ledge to dry n sat on my bed wen re hairing lol. me thinks i need to gert me a working space n sweetlittlejenny i bet u know were everything is wen its like that lol organised mess my mum would say but i say if it works dont change n ur creations r fab
 
Haha, my workspace is just my computer desk... for now (heh heh)... I usually pop something on to watch or listen to while I'm working. I keep a box of paints and a box of baits under the desk. :D

Yeah, I know where most things are even when its that messy. I need more space, lol.

Sirenamber- thats an awesome selection in your bait box!
 
lol I do exactly the same thing as sirenamber. I use my comp desk (which is pretty tiny), so when I paint, I just move the keyboard and mouse aside :)
 
Mine isn't picture worthy. I have a rubbermaid bin with handles that I keep all my supplies in. When I work on a custom, I put a tray table in front of my couch, and have the bin next to it. I do all my work there. In a one bedroom apartment, I don't have the extra space, but it's nice, since I get to watch the 42 inch flat screen while I work. :)
 
What an awesome thread! I can't wait to see more! Here is my pack rat monstrousity of a workspace, its sort of merged with the kitchen! I actually don't technically have my own bedroom, so I've hijacked the kitchen as my own! I am the chef of the house after all! Even if ponies ended up usurping food! You can tell because everything I touches becomes green eventually!

Finally, I have a workspace! This is the only part of my pony room that's organized, though.

My room has a half-bath/powder room attached, so this is where I prep.

Box of boxes (for shipping), the bait crate, my sewing machine, clay-baking toaster oven, airbrushing supplies, paint carousel, and supply drawers (hair stuff, paint/dye/clay stuff, miscellaneous). The white blob in the lower right corner is my dog's enormous butt.

This is the awesome craft table that my best friend gave me. It has outlets! Current WIPs (Can't peek at some of them. Sorry! You'll see them finished soon enough!). My bulletin board with my concepts and a list of Dollyhair colors and how many skeins I have of each. And the lovely calendar that Kar sent me in the Winter Custom Swap. I keep track of my deadlines in it.

The storage part of the table. Brushes, scissors, pliers, glue gun. The usual. And my awesome star and ladybug push pins!

The shelving unit that houses:
Top shelf - Dollyhair. If you place a large order, the box it arrives in is excellent storage!
Second shelf - Memory boxes of fantasy film and butterfly wings. I picked those up at Michaels for $1.66 each. I'm looking for a purple one and a yellow one, if anyone happens to see them.
Third shelf - Dye pot and tongs, beads, photo backdrop, more baits.
Fourth shelf - Box of stuff I've been meaning to get rid of.

thats a really neat idea for the dollyhair list thing. i should do that.
and whats in the Box of stuff that you want to get rid of?

thats alot of boxes of dollyhair, i can't wait to get 4 dollyhair colours that i'm getting from someone on here.

Here's mine ^^ (a little messy sorry)

On the table you have my paint containers, tool holder (brushes, sculpting tools etc),
Under the table is bait tub, fabric and shipping boxes
The shelves hold baskets with scuplty, hair, airbrush/airbrush accessories and tons of misc stuff

Thanks. Yes, Sugarberry is floating around in the crate. There are some ponies in there that will clean up nicely to sell/trade/swap. I just haven't had the time to do it yet.

I got the idea for the Dollyhair list when I got tired of flipping through my hair boxes to make sure I had the color(s) I needed. Now I can just look at my list, know if I have it, and know if I can order it. I keep track of what she's sold out of too.

In the "box o' stuff..." That I know of: some $ store hair headbands, a big container of matte Mod Podge, a paint pen, some Tacky Glue... I'm going to post it in the Freebies forum someday.

Thanks. It took me awhile to get my own workspace. I started customizing in 2006 (though it took me a year to finish my first) and worked at the kitchen table or counter or living room coffee table until just a few weeks ago. We moved three times in that period, so I never wanted to set up anything permanent. It looks like we're going to be here for awhile (this was my grandparents' house) and I'm really into customizing, so I decided I could finally plant some roots.
 
Those spaces are much better than mine >.> Sorry the pics are small, I've had my camera since Black Friday and I'm still learning how to use it <.<

That is where m computer is, actually.. the keyboard is sitting on the floor (yay for wireless). That's a very small space, actually... it's a small two drawer dresser. I was lucky my mom had a short chair that works to sit in front of that.

That's my supply drawer :p You can see a head, and some ponies. There's Fabri-Tac glue sitting in the bottom right hand corner. There's paints on the left side, some cheaper paintbrushes at the top, Dollyhair in the top left corner. The envelope has more Dollyhair in it.. I just haven't opened it.You can see a box of Rit there, but it also houses some computer games, DS games, my checkbook is at the top right corner >.> Lots of stuff.

thats cool, when you put sugarberry up for trade/sell, i will take her. :)
that dollyhair list has gave me idea to do the samething.
just wished my printer was hooked up right now, i can always write the names down on paper.
i'll keep an eye out when you do that.
