Is the new Fair pony the first G3 male pony?

I was thinking about the cool peacock design and came across this definition...

"Peafowl are best known for the male's extravagant tail, which it displays as part of courtship. The male is called a peacock, the female a peahen, though it is common to hear the female also referred to as a "peacock" or "female peacock". The female peafowl is brown or toned grey and brown. "

So going by the symbol and design, wouldn't that make this year's pony male?

What do you think?

Nope I compltely get wherre you are coming from but I consider mine a girl I'd think Hasbro would change the design a little to indicate a boy like how the G1s had feathered feet . . .

Well, yes by definition male peacocks are the brilliant colored birds. That's how it is with most birds, males have brightly colored plummage for attracting other females.

Hmm, but by Hasbro definition, they say it's probably a female. Lawl.

I hadn't really thought about it, but after reading your post, it hit me. The fair pony could totally be a boy.

a) He is marked with a male peacock....he is going to try to attract the best G3 female out there.

b) He may look like a female, but that's nothing new. All the G2 males looked like the G2 females.

c) The make up just makes me think he is a David Bowie pony....which makes him hotter. lol

Eh, just cause the design is a male peacock, doesn't make the pony male. Several peacock customs have been made, using the male peacock, and not a one of them has been made as a boy.

The eye is too girly - even without the makeup. And, this is Hasbro. They won't make new G3 molds to make some boys - they'll just make some chibi molds, and Oh, use the same boring 7 ponies for those too.

I am sitting next to the prettiest man I know right now and he has got..let's see...well just eyeliner on right now but he is built quite fem. so I am going to vote for a boy. Yeah, hasbro probably meant it to be a girl or (most likely) didn't put that much thought into it at all. I am going with science on this one. If I can get it...It will be a boy to me.

it has extra long eye lashes and eye shadow. so unless hasbro is encouraging cross dressing (not that i think it's bad! don't get mad at me ^^;;;; ) then i think it's a girl. not alot of people ealize that te Peacock is a boy

May be in this breed of peacocks females are colorful too
