Is this seriously the current going price?

A great set. Must get the purse eventually.

Not quite as cost efficient as I'd hoped though.
 
Wow $153.50! I hope the buyer is happy with that baby crumpet and purse, it does look really cute.
 
Glad I bought mine for $25 a few years ago - I remember a set MIB going for about that price - $152. Should have picked that up then.
 
No offense to anyone but yeah we get it. The price of MLP and well everything is going up. This is all the general board is filled with now is "OMG LOOK AT THIS". It's not surprising anymore.
 
I think inflation on anything is normal, but I personally like seeing these threads. Yeah, most items have gone up, but the raise in price for each individual item varies greatly and so I like to have an idea of what the market is currently demanding for certain items so that i know what to expect for future purchases.
 
The buyer (hudsonpelican) is well known for buying ponies for rather insane prices, I believe she was the one who bought ONE of the Puddles/Peeks twins with no access or anything for over $80.

For those still looking $30 is the norm and no more than $50, max (loose of course).
 
I like reading these OMG threads. It tells me to be prepared to pay dearly for some of the ponies I really want. lol

Is it a matter of ego? Like who has the deepest pockets? I am not bashing or criticizing, just wondering why one would overpay?
 
purely a bidding war. People all get hyped up about it and want to be the winner.
 
Well there are two more listed now (as what usually happens when something sells high). One ended at about $75 and the other ends tonight.

Personally I don't think the set is worth $150, but I also think $40 and under is too low. The pony is worth about $20 and the purse I'd say $40-$50. It is rather HTF.

That one that ended this evening sold for nearly $80 :eeek:
