I don't think I've seen this posted anywhere here, but I guess this website made it's debut at the fair in Kentucky. Very neat site, I had fun adding my (non childhood) G1s.

The site is being updated constantly and a lot of members at the arena are giving great suggestions to make it even easier to use.

Right now there are only US regular release G1s- but mail orders, G2s and G3s are coming soon.

I guess I can try to describe it a little better if you're wary of signing up.

When you login you go to your dashboard, it will show your collection if you have entered it. From here you can browse the catalogue, add your collection, edit your collection or edit your profile. It will also tell you an estimate of how much the ponies you've entered are worth (this number is based on that G1 Collector's Inventory book I believe).

When you are ready to add your ponies, you will come to a list of photographs of them. You simply click a pony to add it, and there is a drop-down menu with choices to describe the pony's condition (so far the choices are bait, opened good, opened mint, boxed good and boxed mint.) You can also enter the day you got the pony, purchase price, and any notes you want.

If you got anything wrong or want to add to it, you can always fix it with the "edit collection" function.

At the dashboard, you can also click any of the ponies in your collection and a pop-up will come up that displays info about the pony, along with the data you entered already.

There are a lot more ponies and features scheduled to come, this site is very very new so it's not totally perfect. But I like it a lot and it's actually pretty fun to input all your ponies.

I'm adding pics screencapped from my own account to give you guys examples.

hmmm, it never really did that for me... could be a browser or connection problem.
or there could very well be some bugs for them to work out still, as it's so new. Maybe give it time? lol

Interesting. I signed up and tried to add ponies. I got a bit confused when I started at Blossom. I didn't see FF of CF (year 2) or a way to differentiate the two. I'll have to play with it more...

I hope they change the "1982" date.. that could get confusing to new collectors. MLP debuted at Toy Fair in early 1983.
 
ok, well idk if id agree with the prices, its given me a total of $356.00 for my collection, and I know its more than that lol! but its a cute way to keep track

Just for now... They will be adding G2 and G3 in the coming weeks.


You know what guys? I think I should get the guy who made the site over here to hear some of our suggestions! Because they are good ones too! He has an account at the arena, maybe I can get him to come and post here too.
 
I know quite a few have made suggetsions about accessories. I know being an accessory addict the pincess crowns & wands, BB stuff and combs, ribbons, original flutter wings are all part of the poies value to me so i'm hoping they'll be a feauture to add all that eventually. I think it will be really good as it evolves

Mine came to over $4000 without G3s, accessories, MO, UK or Nirvana :vscared: I can't stand to think what I've actualy spent on ponies . . . bet not to I think!
 
Yeah I'm really hoping that when all is said and done, I'll have paid less for my ponies than the site tells me they are worth... because by the time G3 comes around, the cost is going to skyrocket.

So far, I've paid $10 less than the total value of my G1s according to that site. I only have 7 total, valued at $50. I was worried it was going to tell me I way over-paid for my ponies.
 
yeah it totally needs a lot added, going from loose, mib/moc price, to variants and so on.. also adding more than one of each pony... can you do that? i know ive got at least 6 poseys!

There is an aweful lot needed adding to it, and off the top of my head it a big ol list.... will it do just ponies, or will merch start being added? TBH i dont wanna know what ive spent vs what its worth, my whole collection is priceless to me <3
 
Okay well I sent Ryan a message at the arena and his account is pending here. He says as soon as he's on he'll come talk to us too!

Yeah, I just started collecting in January. But with me being picky about G1s (I don't like when paint is smudged or faded, hair is cut or when there are marks on the display side) and having a very limited amount of spending money, not to mention I haven't found any at local thrift stores, that's what happens. Hopefully for Christmas I'll be able to build my collection some more. I do have a few G3s, though, so all together I have more than 7 ponies. I'm pretty sure I have the smallest collection of G1s on here, though.
 
it looks like the mail orders have been added, and I see one Dutch pony so far...

Well, we finally made it! (thanks to thebeth for posting and keeping the news updated!!)
Thank you all for the comments and support. We just pushed out 2 changes to KLECT this weekend
1. Mail Order G1's
2. New value category of Open-Fair (just above Bait)

User feedback has been great, we are getting some of the bugs fixed, and added some new features like the multi-pony selection when adding ponies and the personal data and filter staying in frame when you scroll.
Lots of other great ideas that we are getting and listing.
Also, we have some missing photos :(
However, we have gotten quite a few submissions from users (thank you) and are uploading them this weekend. After Sunday, please take a look at any we are missing if you are interested in sending one in!
