No, we're not from the area. We were up there for the state bowling tourney. I was going to make a post to meet up for lunch with some pony peeps from the area, but I didn't think we'd have the time. We didn't. :( Then we ended up with two other guys riding with us, and I don't think they'd have enjoyed me talking pony on their bowling trip. *lol*

ETA: The tourney's being hosted in York next year, so I'll have to make some time to hang out while they're bowling, if anyone's out that way.

LadyJasmine: Well long story short, I used to have a bit of clown phobia myself. I found out that my dad actually went to magic school, and it got me thinking about how awesome it would be to get into theatrics. I started noticing photos of clowns on the internet that were actually really stylish, artsy and beautiful and not at all like the horrible, scary kind of clowns I'd imagined in my head. (What's weird is I love Killer Klowns, and always have, but the idea of a "normal" clown is what freaked me out the most!)

Anyway, I'm not all the way there yet... just starting out, really... I can barely juggle or make decent balloon animals! But I might actually get to go to clown school soon, it's expensive but I hear it's so worth it :)

From everything I've heard Clown U is *so* worth the investment. A close friend of mine ( Clowns Vancouver BC, Victoria BC Vancouver Island Kids Entertainment - Tickle the Clown well, she was a close friend, we've drifted apart in the years since we worked together), attended and said it taught her amazing amounts.

As for juggling: start with two balls. if you jump straight to three you'll end up hitting yourself in the head. Start with two, and get to the point where you can get them to cross in the air at eye level and catch them without looking, once you've mastered that at a "beat" (I usually tap my leg or some such) where the third ball will be. Once you've got that basic rythm down it's a lot easier to add a third ball

Of course it's also easier to show than it is to describe in typing...hopefully you get the general idea. Either way, I'm sure you'll make an AWESOME clown.
